Personally, I think Blastoise looked cooler than Charizard. Mewtwo as well. And Scyther. Kabutops too.

So true. Dragonite had an obvious birth defect. And I care not for what the game says, Charizard is a ****ing dragon Pokémon.

But charizard and gyrados never reached the godlike status of dragon type.
Because dragon types have resistance against so many other types so a Charizard being dragon would more or less nullify it's weaknesses except dragon and ice.

I gotta say that Salamence from G3 is a hella ugly dragon though.

"Dragon" was such a bull-**** type anyway. Like, you don't have "dog" or "fish" type, so why dragon? Plus, right, if I remember correctly, the two most distinctive features of the classical dragon is that it can fly and breathe fire, only the two-type system has it so you can never have a dragon type that is also flying and fire type. F*ck dragon type and their hard-to-evolve asses.

This makes me remember a flying Charizard from somewhere. I don't remember where, but I say it.

Then again, I also used to make fleets of flying Kangaskhans...
