Cartoons from before we were born
« on: March 13, 2009, 11:11:22 PM »
Spider Man
Batman
The Hulk
Capitain America
The Mighty Thor
Iron Man
Fantastic Four.
Unless anyone here is 40 years old or more.

Was browsing youtube and I found these. The animation sure was bad, but you can see they have a shitload more of effort than the newer cartoons. These days kids have to watch **** that has bad art, bad plots, bad animations, and bad moral values. Discus.

You know what's better than that? Cartoons from the 90s. THOSE shows were the shit.

Batman: The Animated Series is easily the best thing from when I was growing up.

I don't necessarily agree with you. As little as I often watch the cartoons present today, I don't really find anything that has "bad art" or "bad moral values", since the movement to flash, animation did get super cheap, but dude this is television animation. The television market for any type of show is a fast-paced market, and unlike feature films you are doing the same thing over and over again to make episodes. With animation, the animation becomes "limited", or basically cheapened and overly simplified for monetary reasons. Since flash is a very effective tool to use and makes animating within the boundaries of your own studio easier, it is used more. Such animation is demanded by the television market.

Before most of you were born, we had He-Man, which was the ****. I dont care what any of you say, that show could beat the **** out of any of you, your fathers, any chicago ted chuck norrix bullshit you can come up with, every image board and webforum, youtube, mister T, Steven segal and Van Damn all at once. That show had testicle, that grew compoundly upon its own testicles.

And the original Ninja turtles was fun as well.

Splinter taught them to be ninja teens. They're heroes in halfshell, and they're green.

These days they are poorly drawn and horribly animated. Stuff like Billy and Mandy teach kids to be jerks and all.
Don't be dissin' Billy and Mandy, yo.

So I'm not the only one with impressionable relatives (a nephew to be exact) who parrots back everything he hears from TV.  I'm hardly relieved.
