Music not playing.
« on: March 15, 2009, 09:16:02 PM »
Something wierd happened out of the blue. Now, I can no longer hear music on RPG Maker 2003 or any games I downloaded made with it. The sounds still play though, which I don't get. If anyone knows why this is happening, please inform me of how I can fix this.

Any help appreciated, because playing games without music is like eating tacos with no meat. :P

There's a midi sound control somewhere, I can't remember where it is though
Go look for it, it's probably way down/muted

Check your sound settings. Some programs have the irritating habit of muting midi sound, windows media player being the prime example.

Not sure if it was mentioned already but go to your computers sound settings.  I believe there is a volume lever thing for Midi's.  If not then maybe your midi's are in the wrong format?  If if it's still not that than I don't know.  X_X  lol

Go to the tray icon for sound on your computer. Double click it. Turn SW Synth up all the way.

Thanks, DWMM, it is working now! ;D

Except when I went into my game, I had music blasting at me, full volume.

Well then turn the SW synth down a little. Sw Synth is the volume your pc plays midi music at basically.
