He's got a train. That's about it
I don't really understand what the whole story's gonna be about though :\

Heres my guess: PWINCESS IN TWUBBLE. SAV HER AND KILL DA EVIL BOSS

I actually love zelda games, but the above is almost always true.

Spirit Tracks train = Phantom Hourglass boat. I'm not a huge fan of Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, and part of that was the sailing involved; I would much prefer just having Epona and Hyrule Field.

I dunno, though. It looks like Link is some sort of courier, and that he's delivering an important letter to Zelda. Is this the same Link and Zelda as WW and PH? It could go either way at this point, but I'm thinking no - they've already used the Hero of Winds in two Zelda games already, and with the possible exception of the Oracle games, they generally use a specific Link for no more than two games.

But... Isn't that still the same God damned thing?

I'm guessing not, due to the humongous amount of land, and the fact that Zelda appears to actually be Zelda and not what's-her-**** the pirate
They just appear to be of a scarily similar art style
I'm guessing they didn't want to go back to 2D

Here's hoping they let you use the ****ing d-pad. Sure, the stylus-only control scheme worked, but it just isn't as natural or comfortable as the buttons that we've all been using since we were young.

This game made me do something no game has ever actually done before.

I died inside.

I thought that until I saw the familiar follow a drawn path that was drawn while Link was moving.

Unless they've found a way to make the two actions work simultaneously.

I think youre all being pessimistic. I think it will be rad. If anything, it just adds a touch of steampunk to the plot... the Zeldas all jump around in some sense time-wise...well, with a few exception...
I think its only natural that they eventually add something like a train to the mix. Its not even that big of a stretch, you drove around a steam powered boat in the last DS zelda title.
I say boo on you all and your baww-train. I think it will be win.
Phantom Hourglass was pretty win.

I actually think it will be a great game, just the whole train thing seems like a wierd move. I'll play it.

I'm pessimistic because I was hoping for steampunk Zelda so hard. Trains do not make steampunk.

I'm not pessimistic. Not at all. I f-ing love Zelda. But I still hope they drop the touch-only controls. I never thought it was a good idea, and I don't feel it caught on.
