I take offense to that statement. Why is Dark evil?

First I didn't mean that kinda of dark second I'm partly black so don't act like I'm racist and third I got that from some of the sonic games so don't blame me/

Well as I recall, dark was not really represented as evil per say in those games.

Relax, I was just kidding about the racist thing.

Yes, the demo's working. Hoo boy, you guys are in for a treat if you download this one!

This isn't really criticism per se because I don't really expect you to fix any of this....but.....hahaha. As expected, tons of spelling and grammatical errors....maps filled with unenterable houses (and a ledge that, if fallen off, ends your game....I seriously can't believe that happened to me twice in one day in two different games)....fields of women and children that you can't talk to who just stare into nowhere...

How did you find the time to make 130 maps? That's not a demo, that's a full-fledged game!

Every battle is either unwinnable or takes entirely too long. It takes your party of three about eight rounds to kill a single bat. I have no idea how you get past Robotnik in the "good" side quest. Every character has only enough MP to use their special attack once, so after that, it's just spamming the Attack button until the enemy dies or the sweet embrace of death takes you (and the latter is far more likely). Please, please reduce the enemies' HP so I can actually get through this romp.

Oh, and I caught Shadow calling a female NPC a "tramp." You kiss your mother with that mouth, son?

The Robotnik thing is just pressing attack as much as you can and he usually stupid he might be smart once or twice but, just try like 1 or 2 more times and thanks it's my first demo and I'm not even that close to being done.

:D That was pretty good! I sent my few criticisms by PM. I have one question though... Where do I go after I get the car? Right now I am just cruising around hitting people, and driving under fences.

Also, why is that hero still young after being there for 50 years!? That is amazing :o

Val: If you fall off the ledge, then you die. Realistic and simple :)

I love this, keep up the good work :D

The car part reminds me of another favorite moment. In the part inside the cave, there's a moat with an island and a little girl standing on it (who you're ostensibly supposed to rescue). At the moat's bank, there's a raft. But if you talk to the raft, it creates a vehicle you can get inside but doesn't get rid of the raft clone, which is blocking your way to the rest of the moat. So you're just stuck in a raft in a one-space area until you get out of it.

Guess that little girl is on her own.

Ho boy. I bet I'll just love this one... *Downloads!*

EDIT: the beginning of the simultaneous playthrough and review of the game!
I open up the game in RM2003, ready to play this lovely little game. I notice instantly that the map tree in the lower right is just one REALLY long single strand. I guess it's alright, but Jesus, that must be really inconvenient for the creator of the game. Anyway, I press the button to start test playing the game, and I'm greeted with the Ms Paint titlescreen, and prompt it to start up.

I'm immediately told that I have a choice to either play a story mode, or an arcade mode... I'm curious, so I select arcade mode to see what happens, and then choose to play 'run away', since that's kind of what I want to do now, really. It prompts me to choose a character, even though I'm already clearly a dude with spiky blue hair... So I choose storm, and begin to run around the empty map until I'm caught by princess Zelda, and somehow whisked away to Mario world, where I'm then captured by sonic with his cubic aura, and then sent to a game over screen. I have no idea.

Right. So then I start up story mode, where I'm told that 'some years ago' an evil dude argued with a guy with gothy blue hair. They get into a fight; it's him and his army of wights vs. Me, 'Hero' and my 'boy soldier' and 'girl soldier'. I get hit by a death technique from one of the enemies, which manages to wipe all of us out in a single strike. The game, so nicely, decides to call me a loser. We're returned to the map we started on, as the hero compliments the villain on his strength. He then proceeds to build his own kingdom of four castles, destroys ours, and then compares our destroyed kingdom to his now built up one. I guess I'm then forced to teleport/run away to a strange place that's half grass, and half stalactites, and ordered to choose between 'good' and 'dark'. As explained by darkfox, 'dark' does not necessarily mean evil, so I decide to go with that.

I'm suddenly... A goomba from the Mario Series, and wisked away to a weird cave area with a ton of mario enemies running about at random and king bowser in the upper left corner on a throne. Each of the running about koopas and goombas advise me to talk to Bowser. A select few koopas also politely inform me that they look different than the others. Well, they're right. Anwyay, onto bowser... Bowser then tells us we're quite slaves, saying 'QUITE YOU SLAVES', and tells us that there's 'something else bad'... Ok. The goombas are too cowardly to go themselves, so then bowser proclaims he'll do it himself, and we're teleported to another cave-weird area and turned into bowser. A room with three skeletons. Walking around, I notice how beautifully Bowser's sprite is made to fit into his side-walking view, as if he had been stuck into a vice. I let a skeleton run into me, as he kindly reports me as 'intruder', and then does not in fact fight me, but teleports me back to where I started. There might be a flaw here that he gets to where I'm teleported back to, and thus gives me nowhere to escape safely from him, since his position isn't reset after being taken back to start... But whatever. I move on past them, since they're dumpy slow dudes anyway.

I walk into a magic circle in the lower right of the screen. Bowser then comes upon a guarded cell with our blue-haired hero inside. He's guarded by a skeleton, however, which we have to fight. Into battle mode we go and... Bowser's not even facing the enemy that much. He seems much more interested in what's off in the distant background. I beat him by a pretty close margin, but do it nonetheless, and somehow get healed afterwards!! ...Ok! I won't look a gift horse in the mouth! Anyway, I go to the blue haired hero and... he asks who is present. Bowser says 'I'm the king of koopa BOWSER'. Vale, the hero's name, has apparently been stuck in the cell for 50 years, but he still looks the same, which even Bowser manages to point out. Guards begin to hear us talking, so Vale apparently teleports us out. Legitimately, since there's a small animation.

Next, we come up upon Shadow fighting against a purple RTP demon. He apparently doesn't stand a chance, as he is only a mere 'animale', so we come to his aid! Vale distracts the demon whilst Bowser rescues shadow... AND NOBODY ON THE MAP EVEN MOVES!! :D Yep, it's all told through text.

We're then moved to a strange town. When we arrive, Shadow suggests we find an inn, as his face graphic magically transforms into 3D! He tells us to go to the left, but I decide to walk right, and find... A ton of RTP people just standing around. They don't do anything. They all are looking south, standing still, and do not react to the spacebar prompt! I go to the building on the right when I entered, as... The door itself, apparently, tells us 'PLEASE do not enter ri'. Ok! I follow Shadow 'the speed demon' as directed.

We enter the extremely small in, as I somehow walk straight through a fence. The Inn was quite small on the inside... Very shoddy. Trinkets were scattered all about, and there was somehow no back wall or anything, even though it clearly did have walls from the outside. Anyway, two people dwell inside, I ask the woman about the inn, and she directs me to her husband right next to her. Yeah, women never have anything important to say here! :D

So I speak with the man, who Shadow very offensively tells to 'Shut up and give us a free day at your inn'. The man responds quite aptly here; 'I'm sorry, but no.' Bowser decides to speak to the guy as well, which somehow intimidates the man into doing it for free... Right. Doesn't shadow have guns? Couldn't he just draw one of those out, or would that simply be too difficult to plan? Anyway, the man gives us a room as soon as Bowser is mentioned. He also lets us borrow our car. Geez, nevermind, but this man is just silly. Despite telling us we could sleep there, there was no apparent place I could get into bed. Though there was a bed in the room, it didn't do anything...

Just being curious, I decide to talk to the pair again... They said the exact same things. Hrm... I decide to go outside and see if I can find a car anywhere, and found the car right out there, with its nice, very own cube aura. Whee! I press space next to the car and.. Another one appears to its left? Ok, I interact with that one instead and successfully get in. I drive north, and find tons of buildings I can't enter, a bunny girl, hippies with an apple, and other various things I can't speak with. Further north, there's a fence, which I just plow through, since it has no collision detection, and head into a field of stationary animals. After the field, there are more buildings, including shops. It is here I discover that THE CAR CAN DRIVE ON WALLS!!! :D I get out of my car and try to enter several buildings... BUT THEY DON'T WORK! WHAT

I find... Another inn in the northern section which I can enter freely. I have no clue. Unlike the other one I was at, this one seemed... A bit more legitimate, even though it was just a huge room with tons of beds, a long counter, and... A piano nearby the beds. Wouldn't that wake everyone up or something? I talk to the woman across the counter, and as I learn, this actually IS the Inn I'm supposed to go to... How Ironic. Bowser calls the innkeeper there a tramp, we sleep for free, and then a white face graphic says 'MEANWHILE', as I prepare to be taken to another maaaagical location.

I turn into Mario, and enter a hall room with tons of Mushroom Retainers, all of which say their own line of dialogue, and also.. Windows on the floor. Ok! For some reason, all the guy 'toads' were quite a bit taller than the girl 'toadettes'. Also, one toadette told me that she hated everyone, with all capitals. Well, I can't really blame her... Anyway, I go north and talk to the line of guards present there. I spoke to the guards, who somehow disappeared when I did that. Oddly enough, when I did this, only one guard disappeared, and I didn't really get anywhere. When I spoke to the middle guard, he disappeared, and walked over where he had stood, I was suddenly teleported!

REPORT TO BE CONTINUED.
