FFV and FFVI DS?
« on: May 19, 2009, 01:54:11 PM »
Since Squenix remade FF3 and 4 for the DS, do you think they will do the same for FF5 and 6? That would be pretty cool, and they did 4, 5 and 6 for the GBA.

Personally, I would like to see FF6 on the PS3 or 360. That would probably make my brain explode.

I would love to see FFV remade with things like Extra Jobs and what not.

Also, they are releasing a sequel to Final Fantasy IV on Wiiware some time soon. I'll probably check it out.

That would be nice, for the sake of consistency, but I'd much prefer that Square bring back some other, underappreciated gems. Secret of Mana, Threads of Fate, Secret of Evermore, Bahamut Lagoon...whatever happened to them?

Or something new but similar to the old ones.
As in, something new, but good. No need for super awesome omega wonderful graphics, just a good story, good gameplay and the possibility to travel around the world (unlike FFX, not sure about FFXII) should do the trick.

Remakes are fun, but damn they remade each Nintendo FF 2-3 times already (Except for FF3).
Seriously.
FFI&II have been remade for PSX, GBA and PSP.
FFIV has been remade for PSX, GBA and NDS
FFV&VI have been remade for PSX and GBA.

I'd like something new!

They already had extra jobs in the GBA version. Also, the FFIV sequel has already been out for a long time on Japanese cellphones. I feel strange playing a cellphone game on a console...

It's square's way of laughing their asses off at us.
"Look at those stupid people all excited for the FFIV sequel on their consoles. I can already play it while sitting on the buss or while driving car, I can even play it while I'm on the bathroom."

I never thought of that. They should do something with FFIX.

I read about that a few weeks ago. Isn't it called "After Years" or something? I think I would play it anyway, but it does suck that they got it on cellphones and we don't. They could at least release it for the PSP or DS.

They should remake Bahamut Lagoon and Secret of Evermore. Alcahest would be a cool update as well.

I would like to see FF7 remade. That trailer they showed was such a tease. But in recent months the Squenix team has made hints that they might.

And whats the story with Dissidia? That looks kick ***.

while driving car

What? That's some reckless driving there, Prpl_Mage.

But, yeah, it is weird that it's not on a handheld.

They should do more corssover type things. I have seen tons of screenshots for dissidia and it looks amazing. How about a Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore crossover? Or Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest?(Mostly for the style of the games.)

No more crossovers.
They have kingdom hearts for that.
Kingdom hearts need more square and a bit less disney now.

I've played dissidia and it was more or less a "mash the X button" type of game.

Just so long as they fixed the difficulty--it was too easy to take advantage of the side-missions. I had Master Dragons about six chapters in thanks to grinding...
