I never tried to use the fancy tools in Photoshop when just doing anything pixel. Well, no, I did a little bit with the glow in my Super Saiyan Week avatar, but that's about it.

My take is, Photoshop is useful for larger images like facesets, title screens, battle backgrounds, and monsters and should be tolerated for those.

So we're going to be limited to charasets or something? I kinda liked the way we did the last sprite-off, where you were given a theme, there was a few restrictions, and you could just take it from there.

Yeah, I read them. I'll definitely still participate, but it just doesn't feel as open as the other sprite-off.

Don't have a sprite off with rounds. It only makes it complicated.
Make many different contest where everyone can join.
Then just decide the total winner afterwards or something.
