seriously though guys, he wrote some catchy tunes.

His ability to molest kids and be a creep has no corelation to his abiity to dance and sing catchy tunes.

Even if he did molest some kids, haven't we all?

CUE ARCHEM

He will be missed for his music though. In his day he was the black Elvis, or the black John Lennon, or the black Michael Jackson.

What's really pissing me off is the fact that Farrah died yesterday morning, and that child molesting bastard has managed to take as many eyes as he could.

**** that "it." I feel so annoyed now. *glares at the next person to cross her path!*

Part of it was we all knew Farrah's death was coming. She's been dying for a while. His death came out of left field.

But yeah, the other part is he's more famous.

Charlie's angels dude. Charlies angels. She was the HOT one (the only hot one in the show) Aside from that, she's just a strong person.

He DID? Man, I gotta look again. I know he sang some catchy songs, but as far as I know, he never wrote a single song...

Indeed.

Although Fawcett had her shares, Fawcett impact is no where NEAR as Michael Jackson's. The whole world is mourning him. Again, molestation, uglyness, and accusations aside, his singing and dancing revolutionized music we have today. I am sure that without his existence music will not be what it is today, nor would the musicians that were inspired by him would be here. His impact is GARGANTUAL  on the world, both negative and positive. His both famous and infamous.

I didn't like the guy as much as the next person, but I do know and appreciate what he did in the music industry. He was very well an Elvis of our time and prior.

I was never a fan of the man, but I was of a few of his songs. And I am pretty sure a lot of people felt that way too, even people of his generation, and specially ours.

It is only but natural his image appears on everybody's tele.

Tl;dr past page 2, just want to add my two cents to the whole paedophile part.

If he did indeed molested / raped those children, then why in god's name did the parents settle? I mean come on, your child was raped. I don't care how much money he offered, if he did it for real then the parents would have wanted to see him go to jail plus, most likely, get money anyway.

My opinion is that MJ just didn't want all the fush. He was a troubled man before it and probably couldn't take it. Give them money, they shut up. Easy as that and he got his rest. Now the second lawsuit was a moneymaker. Of course people are going to try that. If he really did it they wouldn't let their kids sleep with him.

That's my two cents, hate me for it, but MJ wasn't a paedophile in my eyes.

EDIT: While we're at it, let's not forget another great man in the entertainment business we lost a few years back. Steve Irwin. Now we lost two persons we could laugh at / with.

There are less selfish reasons to settle, such as to avoid a lengthy trial and media scrutiny that would further traumatize your emotionally violated child.
