I hate anything that's in first person or requires you to progarm everything.

That's because you suck in first person games.

RM2000 has a front-on view, which means it saves you the hassle of having to make
battlecharsets. The problem is, it has a couple of glitchy areas, including screen panning.

I think I'm correct when I say RM2k3 is the most used RPG-making program on this forum.
It's a great, versatile program when it comes to making RPGs and is pretty bug-free.

XP and VX have much updated graphics and can support a lot more pixels. Visually, it far
surpasses 2000 and 2003, but for new people, the options are quite limited. For more advanced
users, coding can be implemented to make many things possible.

I can't use Gamemaker whatsoever. I find it too complicated and can't find any tutorials whatsoever.
However, i've played some amazing games made in Gamemaker, so if you can use it, use it!

There's an entire forum dedicated to tutorials and engines.
Usually you can find some cool stuff, but the only way you'll really be able to learn it efficiently is to just dick around.

What's the kind of standard one used by people today? I'd love to make
something like Knytt Stories :D

I have no idea what Knytt Stories is so I'd just go snooping around there, you're bound to find something.

2k3.  If VX and 2k3 were to have a baby, I would absolutely die of happiness.

RM2k3.  The only thing it's missing is .ogg sound file support.  Other than that, nothing can beat it.

2k3 would never get that close to VX. It cheats.

Hold on, hold on, hold on. Is there something different about my RM2K3? I've heard on some websites that it doesn't support MP3 files (or was it a different one and I read it wrong?). But my RM2K3 supports MP3s, and it also supports .ogg sound file support.

I didn't code it in any way. So, is there something odd about mine?

Hmm... Maybe. I don't remember what website I got it from, so I don't think I'll figure this one out.

I guess we have different versions.  I have mp3 capability but not ogg.
