LIFE OR DEATH: Your Choice
« on: August 12, 2009, 10:07:14 PM »
I'll post pics up later.

I don't exactly know what I'd call this game. There are no battles, and the game is pretty much just walking around.

What you are supposed to do in this game is survive. The first level, for example, is a minefield. You have to successfully get through the minefield and make it to your friend. Stepping on a mine not only decreases your health, but sends you back to the beginning of the hallway you are currently in (the minefield has 3 hallways). And of course, step on too many mines, and you die.

TOWN:
The town is probably one of the cool parts about the game. The first place is the item shop. Here, you can buy potions and health increases, so that your survival chances are increased. There is also a pub, where you can gather information or possibly find new party members (which, again, increase survival chances). And then the best part of the town is the Mission Center, where you can take on missions and gain XP to level up. The point of the Mission Center is to fulfill the requests of townspeople (like Tales of the World, or Monster Hunter). The missions vary from simply sneaking through a bandits base, to finding a lost person, or even destroying the feared Lava King. And then there's the Guild, in which you need to go to to progress in the story (you must complete 3 missions before continuing).

DURING QUESTS/MISSIONS:
While navigating through missions or quests, there are two types of paths you may walk on. There is the normal path (the one you are on most) which is hard to navigate and you may constantly step off the path into danger. And then there is the extra path (the path you find that looks different). The difference in this path is that you can easily navigate, but there are traps which cannot be avoided. If you wish to complete the game quickly, I suggest taking the extra path, but if you want to beat it without getting damaged, take the normal path. There are also sub-missions, which take place within a mission. You must go down a different pathway and you'll be taken to extra areas. These gain you extra XP. There are also hidden XP Crystals which level your characters up instantly. These can only be used once. There are also some pentagrams which require you to sacrifice one of your party members to progress. There are hidden pathways as well as pointless pathways which waste your time.

QUEST/MISSION CHALLENGE: Pro players can complete the quest before the music fades out. Give it a shot.

PASSWORD SYSTEM: Like many games on the NES and SNES, there is a password system available at the beginning of the game. Entering these passwords allow you to skip to a certain area of the game. All passwords are similar to passwords in those NES/SNES games.

CHARACTERS:
AXEL - A young boy who is joining the guild to destroy any monsters that threaten mankind.
ANAL BIFIDUS - Axel's master, who teaches him everything he knows.
ALYSSA - A young newbie in the guild, who is an available party member.
HANZO HATTORI - A man who has risen from the dead to destroy the monsters.
COUNT VLAD TEPES - The vampire who controls the monsters.
JOE - A superhero who fights off the monsters.
ELEMENTAL KINGS - Bosses who are in the lead of monsters.

Info here will be updated.

At least you guys said something though.

It's not offending if you say its lame or anything. I let people test it, who said it was lame when I told them about it. But like them, you might actually enjoy it when you try it.

Well, the game requires a LOT of thinking. One misstep could be fatal.

I see that you're reviving my old project. Please make it better than what I had in mind (that means remove Vlad Tepes).

If you want the walkthrough, just request. I WILL ONLY GIVE IT TO YOU IF YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE STUCK AT (as in, I'll tell you what to do, but you must try for at least 10 minutes).
