I'm none of those. Believe me, kid, you ain't seen the likes of me before.
And believe me, I don't care who you think I am. No one should. Be free; express your self. Don't let anyone hold you back. Your mind is all you've got. Rise above the noise and confusion. Opinions fly left and right, but not you; fly straight and true. Old Johnny knows what he's talking about.
Sometimes I told this to the sick boy. I'm not sure he really understood. He was young, pure, untouched by lies, hatred, slander. He was the best of us. He didn't know it, but I did. He was himself; no one told him who he was.

Define yourself.

Heh. Me, a role model? I suppose the sick boy thought so. But then again, I kept my life apart from him. I never showed him the tears, the blood, the sweat that I lived in. The mire that bogged me down.
He never saw the bruised and battered body of my love, sobbing sweetly to herself, unaware I was watching from the doorframe.
He never saw Big Tony die. Not that he could have. He'd passed on by then. But that death... wasn't my fault.
So go ahead. Use me as a role model. I just hope you know what you're getting yourself into.

Nostalgia is a better drug than any Narcotic you can find. Keep on the sunny side, even when the skies are gray.
