Never ever ever ever put your hopes into a Bethesda game. You're doomed to be dissapointed, then make the game better with mods.

XD!!! True that.

I already hate it. First few moments are just staring at the area, like I'm supposed to be impressed (I'm bluntly not). Then, it has to burn any hopes of my interest with that horrible running and jumping **** of Mirror's Edge. This is garbage.

Why does the gun have to wiggle while they walk?
Why does the camera have to shake when jumping and landing?
It's just so POINTLESS.

Yeah, I was getting a sort of 'Faux Mirror's Edge' vibe from this, too. All the shaky jumping crap, and hell, even the visual style is really similar; just slightly more grody. It's like they took the Mirror's Edge city and aged it by half a decade or so. Maybe.

You two know nothing of first-person immersion.

It's a game. No immersion required.

Damn... you certainly threw the logic wrench into it! I agree pretty much with you. There is definitely no necessity to it, as games are well... games.

Have you played any first person games in the last 5 years or so? This stuff is very standard now.

Yeah, I think even Fallout 3 had a little of the head bob.
****, Daggerfall had a head bob.

Fallout 3, Halo, and Halo 2. Like fruck said, bobbing - ignorable, shaking - annoying as ****.

EDIT: Doom style gun movement - funny as ****.

Like going to a restaurant with no pants on. No shirt, no shoes, no service?

Just because it's not a requirement doesn't mean it's a good idea to omit it.

Pants serve the purpose of keeping everyone else from sending you to loony bin.

Shaking a screen or weapon for dramatic effect has no real purpose for the game. Gameplay would be the same with or without it, so rather than try and draw attention away from the game itself, such things should just never be used.
