Happy Easter
« on: April 04, 2010, 02:45:32 PM »
Or as some people call it, "Zombie Jesus Day."

So I got a bunch of candy.  It's really delicious but I feel guilty eating it for some reason.  I guess I'm like that.

It looks like an ordinary piece of chocolate...

...but break it open and you'll find a deliciously molassesey, airy, crispy interior!  We call it sponge candy here, but if'n y'all know what it is, tell me what you call it in your area.

I also got a chocolate clown (OH GOD, IT'S WATCHING ME) and some malt eggs, all locally made.  Unfortunately, the wrappers make them difficult to photograph.

I'm not too fond of crispy interiors. I prefer softness... the soft feelings of peanut butter or that weird soft chocolate stuff inside... chocolates. You know, those kind.
Or I'm fairly happy with a regular dark chocolate.

I currently haven't got anything, but I'm not home. I expect regular chocolate, though, nothing special. But free chocolate is free so I won't complain!

I'm treating my grandma, who happens to live in Austin, to a nice Easter lunch. Ain't I a good granddaughter?

Although I must find a way to get in on this candy action.

I love the chocolate that you bite into and it's more of a syrupy texture inside. It tastes sort of like caramel, liquor, and cherries.

You look like my grandmother.

My Easter consists of going out to buy cigarettes and getting my lip pierced again.

Best Easter yet.

I consumed obscene amounts of caffeine and candy. And went to church... So it was half good, half bad. XD

Scrubs quote FTW

Anyways, I got a giant Reese's Egg... Yum :)
And our oven wasn't working, so we cooked out ham on the grill instead. A little dry, but still very delicious!
