Author Topic: Where I can report stolen stuff?  (Read 312 times)

Hello there, I'm a long-time RPGMaker user and I left the community long ago. Well, I actually was never a part of Charas-Project but my work have been ALWAYS stolen by members here. Sharing is good? YES, share as all you like, but I'm tired to have the credits stolen, like Soul Thief did to my Samus and various other characters. Somebody else also stole my Zero, this Seymour's hair looks  recolor with minor edits from my Seymour (according to the author the hair is at the Charas-Project generator, I'd like to remove it, I never gave my permission to use this. If you guys had ASKED the story should have been different).
Thank you for your time

Mayor of Charas
People can upload whatever they want, the complete resources as well as the generator.
I doubt our moderators have time to check every updated set or sprite and match it with earlier contributions.

That's why we have a section about resources in the generator and the CR.

Tsk tsk tsk. Go ahead and put me in your game. You fags never finish what you start anyway. When is the release date? A week after Duke Nukem Forever is released?

Yeah, just post there and ask people to remove your stuff.
Keep in mind that we cannot tell if someone is telling the truth or not: If someone uploads it, we assume that its either their own work, the work of someone who allowed the use of their sprites for free, or from a game. The last one is not quite legal, but since RPG isn't either, I guess that they just don't care too much.
But art thief is wrong, and you should report it when you see it, specially when your things are stolen. Just don't make a huge deal out of it. Just ask and the CR uploader will take it off.

lol

Its not like this stuff is terribly original or anything. As far as intellectual properties go, youve stolen somebody elses characters, and repixelled them. Id get off your high horse. Just my humble opinion

Oh wow.  I just wrote this HUGE rant (I was slightly proud of), and then I realized the post above was from Gem, and not this MRP guy.  Ugh.  I need to go to sleep.  (its 9:05... I was at a cast party for a musical all night.)

And now that I actually checked the sprites, doesn't even looks like they took that much effort.

I don't think that one is stolen. Lots of people make Final Fantasy characters, so when two people draw the same thing, they're bound to look similar. The two hairs look different but I doubt it's because someone took your hair and edited it.
