~ PLOT ~[/size]

A normal day in the serene village of Everdale. School's just been let out. The village is preparing for a birthday party. Mr. Ronedale has lost his chickens. Mrs. Apricot is baking a pie. And little Danais is consigned by his sister Farrah to buy a b'day present. Enter Skarsgaard, a local thief consigned by his boss to raid this serene village.

And then everything gets thrown into disarray. Danais is missing. Farrah has to go out in search of him and they end up in a town very far away from home! How are they going to get back? To make things more complicated, in comes a band of pirates, headed by Captain Grizzlybeard who is in a mid-life crisis, arrives in the port town. And the Mayor is suffering a migraine from demands from the townspeople: a clown needs cheering up, a young boy needs help wooing a girl, a shaman needs his monkeys returned, a thief needs to be caught, a merchant needs to be protected, and so much more!

How are Danais and Farrah going to find their way home in the midst of all this insanity?!

~ WHAT TO EXPECT ~

- A mildly tweaked battle system that includes a "Charge" and "Double Charge" system (see Features tab).
- Avoidable wandering encounters instead of random encounters.
- Some custom-made music tracks.
- Loads of minigame-oriented gameplay, including fishing, knife-throwing, balloon-popping.
- "Quest log"-styled gameplay in the second half. Just think about Bomber's Notebook from Majora's Mask (see Features tab.)
- One vibrant town in the second half instead of many towns, with many colourful characters you will need to interact with.
- A day/night system to accompany this town (see Features tab).
- Map system and Teleport system (see Features tab).
- A complete game with over 7 hours of gameplay.

This game shows a lot of style. And it has a character named Captain Grizzlybeard, come on. I don't play too many games these days but I think going with this one is a right choice.

Just played some now! It's very polished and nicely made, but the whole chicken/coin-collecting intro was
terribly boring! You should maybe add some sort of marker to the chickens or reduce the amount
you have to find. It didn't really include any clever gameplay mechanics - just looking for stuff, then
pressing space on it. Anyway, apart from that, it's really well made! I'm gonna keep playing it!

Well done!

Yeah I've gotten that complaint about the intro, lol. If I ever release a version 2.0 of this game, I'll make sure to do that! Hope you enjoy the rest of the game, though!

It's well made, but it's a cliché over and over!! Apart from that, I'm really enjoying the whole polished finish to the game!

You can use any of the resources, except for the few MP3's in the Music folder.

Lol, yep. The reason I said so was because some of those were composed just for the game, so it might seem odd to find them in another game.

My first day of turly being back to Charas and what should I discover but a colplete and very fun looking game? = D I must say it looks very well made and nicely done, though I have to comend you on using FFT characters as battle characters and ACTUALY making it look semi-professional. Nopt an easy task that! XD Unfornetly you'll have to wait for my reveiw till after I've gotten to a better place to DL this beuty (Man I'll bet there's alot of flashes in there. = /) Though realy exicted to see if it makes my "Top 5 Best to Play" Rpg maker games list.

I played the game a little bit, so far the maps are beautiful, but the gameplay is lacking. There's nothing that stands out or pushes the limits of RPG maker programming. Then again I only played about an hour into it. And even though I can't stand the DBS, it seems very well rounded, which I know can be just as hard as other programming aspects. So far so good.

But one thing that I noticed was in the beginning when it asked "Start the Game", "About the author", etc the brightness went down rapidly and noticeably. I assume you didn't want the player to see this transition. What you could do to prevent this is in the common events set the hero's sprite to a blank sprite, then start the game on a blank map (completely black), then use "Hide Screen" to cover up anything that goes on. Then you can teleport to the "Game Start" option map and set the brightness first, THEN "Unhide/Show Map" and finally bring up the options dialog box. Sorry for not being technical...
