Decided to take a break from learning anatomical proportions and tried digital painting again. It sucks not having photoshop at home (GIMP can only go so far...) and sucks even more that I have to use the scanner at school...

Work in progress. Still need to do a bit more shading with his skin and I might also want to add some body hair later on.

EDIT: Added more facial hair on him, shaded a bit more of the skin and rotated his eye brow a bit.

Well, I have to say that I do like your style very much. And I hope to see you improve more, =3. I would recommend PaintNet being as it has a pentool AND a curvetool. It would make the lines more bolder, takes time to get use to it but meh. TBH, everyone has their own style so it's really up to you. =3

Man, that guy. He's pretty badass. I'm somewhat envious of your ability to draw middle-aged guys and make them actually worth looking at.

You look like my grandmother.
edit: when she was young. You don't look like you're 80.

I really like the second to latest one.

I take it you're not drawing people in your work at your art college, right?  No offense, it just seems more amatuer standard than fine art standard.

Having said that, it's a nice style and you draw that middle aged guy well.  You need to do lots more life drawing now (or start if you haven't life drawn before; you might be able to get it through the college) and you'll get better and better.

Yeah, I wasn't aiming for the most life-like drawing ever. I major in Animation so I'll be dealing more with cartoons than fine arts. I do make life drawings too though since it does help with any type of drawing.
