Scott Pilgrim VS. The World!

My God. Oh my God. Ohhhhhh myyy Goddddd! OH MY GOD!!!! Did someone creep inside my head and uncover exactly what I'd like to see in
a movie, then make it? It's just absolutely incredible. 113 minutes of belly-laughing, gripping my seat,
screaming and cheering.

So, has anyone seen it? Don't let the crappy trailers put you off.

I'll be honest. It may not have A-list actors and a serious plot, but who gives a damn? It was just
a relentless barrage of hilarious jokes and fantastic, colourful, booming fight scenes! I'm gonna go
ahead and say that out of every movie I've ever seen in my life, this is the most entertaining and
gripping and entertaining one yet. Every single second is directed brilliantly, packed with jokes, puns,
visual ecstacy and brilliant homages to games like Zelda and Street Fighter. Stone me, smite me, I don't
care about your opinions. I think this is better than Avatar.

I mean, come on, the movie opens with the Zelda: Link to the Past tune playing, has brilliant
neon-induced, insane fight scenes involving laser hammers, chains, mad goths that shoot fireballs.

I implore you to go and watch this movie... unless you're epileptic. Then don't ever watch it.

Yeah, but you've gotta hand it to them. They've crammed nearly 6 years of comics into a single movie. Not bad!

I know what you mean though. A real wrap-it-up Hollywood ending at the end :/

Movie and comics don't interest me too much at all. However, I'm strongly conscidering picking up the game on PSN. It looks like a good old fashioned beat-em-up, which there aren't enough of lately.

I saw Vampires Suck thankfully I didn't pay to watch it stopped after 5 minutes of pain (but I expected that after learning the guys that made it made well every other shitty parody movie in the last 5 years) on the other hand Scott Pilgrim was awesome.

I agree Kick-*** had the same problems with the crappy trailers and it also was awesome.

This movie was pretty good, but I found some of the gags a little awkward. Then again, I'm the kind of person who cringes at any anime where girls in pigtails bounce up and down cheering at any slightly positive moment, or grow huge and super-deformed to express anger in the least subtle way possible. Which is to say, all anime.

I liked Kick-*** better.

Also, I suspect it may have tanked because people have grown leery of Michael Cera. Look at his last several movies where he served as the main draw. All have tanked.
