Thanks for the input! All good suggestions. I honestly would prefer to just do back up, but finding band members is harder than pulling teeth. And just as unpleasant. My band's lucky to have the basics: bass, guitar, drums. As for the timing and mixing quality, not making excuses, but I had no control over the recordings and the guy who mixed it had never heard us before and was a little inexperienced. I personally wish the drums were louder with less cymbals. But that's what you get for a day of rushed recordings.

I don't mind screaming, but man does it wear you out when you've got a 25 minute set to play through with little time in between to take a sip of water. Plus, to try and sing right after screaming like that, it can be rough. So, in the future, an alternate singer is something my band would definitely want. But for now, I'll have to do.

I'll take your tips seriously, you pointed out one of the flaws with my singing. I don't spend nearly enough time practicing my vocal parts. In some of those songs, especially "In Plain Sight", there were some parts I simply didn't have a set way of singing any of the lyrics. And it shows with my off-pitchiness.

A sort of sloppy set, but you seem to be aware, so I'll ignore that. Your voice seems to be constantly skirting the edge of being in-tune, and it seems to be bogged down at an odd-sounding bass range. See what you can do to get out of there, because it seems to be dragging your sound down, in my opinion.

Oh, and my deep resentment for the ska-ish elements. But you know all about that.

This one's the best. Except it's not at all.

Man, hardworking videogame injuries here.
I keep hearing "Dragon age!" throughout half the song...

I like it.
First song kinda sounds professional in some way.
Second song plays well while watching your sig. The song in this one don't seem to be in the right place for me. Like it's not in harmony with the music.
Third song was okay as well. All punky and rocky. Overall good, although I'm still a fan of guitar solos.

The first one sounds like typical punk with typical girlfriend song mixed together. A little homophobia humor makes it stand out a little, but it's still kind of typical.

The second one pulls some ska on us, so I instantly disliked it (hey, I still think it sounds lame. What can I say?), however, that keyboard nonsense at the end was pretty fun.

The third song is probably the best. It has the most distinct guitar melody, and the most original sound of the bunch. It's not exactly the best new thing out there (still not much different from the ocean of punk out there), but it's the best of your three.

In conclusion: Guitar solos make everything better. Also, I overlooked this thread, so yeah.

Huh, I'd forgotten I'd posted a second time here. Uh, thanks for listening. There will be guitar solos to come. As well as bass once I fix the bass guitar I have now.
