I just thought I should post this here.  It is a collection of links to pixel art tutorials that have helped me over the past year.  I think it could be very useful to those trying to learn to be pixel artists.

http://wwww.drububu.com/tutorial/  - Drububu’s massive pixel art tutorial in which he shares his secrets to making great pixel art

http://web.cs.wpi.edu/~claypool/courses/frontiers-09/sprite-tutorial.pdf - a useful pixel art tutorial that covers how to make a pixel art avatar/persona (I’ve used this one quite a few times)

http://pixel-zone.rpgdx.net/shtml/tutorials.shtml - a collection of tutorials at pixel-zone, the site seems to be dead and some of the links are broken but the mini-tutorials are very useful

http://garmahis.com/tutorials/pixel-art-tutorials/ - a huge collection of 40! pixel art tutorials including Tsugumo’s famous “So you want to be a pixel artist?”
