Need a musician(s) for everybodies favourite square
« on: April 26, 2011, 02:40:14 AM »
I need somebody to make some music for Kyoob (yes, I started again, no I'm not making a thread yet).
I'm simply not musically inclined enough to compose, and AFL's older mixes...well, no offence dude, but they seem kind of dated in relation to the rest of the game.

If you have the time and/or want, then just post here.

ed:
A good idea to get what exactly I'm working for is the HEX series by this guy.
Has the same amount of energy, but it's more focused and more "game" like.

edos:
Aboutsoandthis and Ninji are likely going to help.
I'd like a good large expanse to choose from, though, so applicants are still appreciated.

I can play guitar very well. Don't know if that'd help or not.

Not really.
I'm looking for somebody to make chiptunes.

He used a game boy and a cartridge called Little Sound DJ, or LSDJ.
Easier chiptune programs do exist though...like Musagi (which isn't technically a chiptune but whatever) and Milky Tracker (which I've yet to figure out)

Alright, I've got musagi, but I can't get it to work for the life of me. I'm working on preparing a few things for my own project right now, but I should be done in a few days and I'll start playing around with those programs.

I just started using LSDJ, actually.  If you need some help or if anyone wants to collaborate on a few, I'd be willing and will actually have some time to do so soon.  Also, Dren, I still owe you some sprites XD.

I haven't had my laptop all week. A friend of mine is using its power cord for her finals and stuff cuz hers broke in a very untimely fashion. So, I won't get it back until sometime next week.

Alrighty then.
All is good, then, because I've had yet another change in what-exactly-i-want-to-do-for-this-ness, so...yeah.
Still want a happy feel to the music, because...well, Kyoob is a little ball box of bliss.

Haha, I will do my best with the happy-but-not-too-happy-ness. And, of course, why not have two people make music for the loveable kyoob? It'll make things a lot easier.

I can make chiptune style music. Well, synth-y, which is kinda similar. So I'm up for it.
