This took a lot of balls to create and I know I'll be flamed for it but I need to make a statement that's bothering me like you wouldn't believe on this forum right now.
I'm sure other designers on here can relate to this because it's a plague that needs to stop in a community such as this.

Hey there designer,

You just created a game you put hours of work into. Countless hours and you finally release it to the public and why did you do this? Well, it's a charity of sorts right? I mean you're not getting paid to do this and it's kind of what the site is about in the first place. (GAME MAKING AND RESOURCES TO MAKE GAMES) You're giving the public a cool game to play for free. Well, you want feedback on your hard work right? I mean are you getting anything out of this besides what people tell you of your game? You look at yourself and kind of wonder what the point is in the first place huh? Leave a simple legacy that's hardly recognized or so many people are bent on the Ps3 or Xbox 360 they could seriously care less of an indi game designers work. Though, it seems most people who notice your game are out working on their own things (which won't get recognition either because people simply just don't give a rats *** on here.) So where does this put you? It puts you in annoying place being a game designer that lack for another term. "Sucks ***".  You have no choice really but to move on to different sites hoping people there can give you something. I mean anything!

What is the point of putting this much work into something when nobody (on these forums) can even say anything? What's the point of even hosting a gaming site and resource area when you guys can't even comment or are interested in most projects released on here? This place gets a ton of traffic and hardly any of you say a goddamn thing. I'm pissed at every single one of you for this. Where is the heart for game creations on this site besides it being a local hang out to talk about random ****, what you're doing with your house or college, how you're having girlfriend problems and need dating advice or stuff that's not even related to rpg maker? Where the hell are the charas I used to know who actually cared about game creations? Razor, do you need to make this into a local general forums and just forget about the game designs? Alex, what's going on, pal?  How about all of you out there huh?  I left a video for you guys. I want you to watch it.

I understand your frustration. I put out a demo and quite a few people said they'd play it and review it, that was their only post. But you know what? Get over it. You said, "what has this place become?" Then listed what it has become. That is what it's become. You also said, "you consider going to another site to promote your game." Well, yeah. You SHOULD do that. Then go to another site, and another site. If a person really wants people to play their game, they'll promote it on every site they can imagine.

I like charas as it is. Low-key. When I'm ready to go and promote full scale, ill do that. But I'm not, so I keep it low-key on charas.

Who cares if all people are doing is talking about off-topic crap that nobody gives a crap about half the time? It's cool, let them do it. It's fine with me, in any case.

You shouldn't make a game for the recognition. That's a one-way trip to a half-assed game (and depending on your skill, half-assed may still be better than what I can make). You should just make a game just cuz you wanna make one. Yeah, critique and such would be nice.
