can we get a few more suggestions for themes? ;_;
Some that would make sense in terms of game creation >_>

Suggest some :V

Main reason why I chose very abstract themes is because I thought it would be fun to see what people came up with when thrown something really weird. Like Testosterone Poisoning.
Swarm, for instance, was an actual Ludum Dare theme a few years back. DrPetter, a guy I admire heavily due to his programming wizardry, ended up making a really clever game where the level itself constituted as a "swarm" instead of some enemy, or the player. It was a Metroid style platformer where the level bits were floating around in space, moving constantly. You had to find specific bits and do...something. It's been a while, memories kind of fuzzy.

I have no idea what that story had to do with anything, but yeah.

Well, the only program I could make anything in 48hours is with RPG maker.
Adventurecraft takes way too long.

I'll suggest.

Sorry, I spaced out.
Added that to the list.

Anybody else have anything to add?

If this starts after Monday or later, I'll join in. I have to much stuff to do in the meantime to do anything :( My vote goes to either Dreaming/Nightmare or Engineering. Now to decide what maker or language to use..

If nobody else has any other plans, I'm going to start this Tuesday, at noonish PST.
Please post in the thread if you have any reservations.

This starts in like an hour and a half.
edit: Also, I'm extending the competition until Friday.
So it's now "CD72"

You guys needed another reminder that in contest - the purple one always enters and submits something but is usually one of few (like 2) people actually doing it?

We should just do a "post something you've already made and we'll judge it" kinda contest. I've noticed that "make something from scratch" contests often fail :(
