A game of Gloop
« on: November 07, 2011, 03:51:30 PM »
The only reason I signed up to Charas is so I could post my game...
and then my computer screws up and deletes it...

So, since I have lots of space here on my computer, I'm thinking that I should make a game based off of the Gloop.

Gloop are a kind of sentient goo that somehow stands up and moves! Somehow...

The Gloop are a species that I made up over at yoyogames ( http://sandbox.yoyogames.com (It's down as of the time of posting)) Search Gloop there and click the one made by me. I have the same username here and there.

So, since I have Battle-charas (It wouldn't be too hard to port the graphics over, considering that Gloop could probably be made in 16-colors), Monsters, and Faces, I could make a RPG for them! :) Charas would need editing.

A RM2k/3 game with those guys. Or should I just direct you to the other topic about my game ideas?

Before this is junked, I just want to say that if any one wants to help with graphics. Discussion should either be moved to messages or the other topic, which I shouldn't have to link to.

The art style is horrible. It doesn't help that there's no animation. I can stand simple art, but this looks messy. The worst part of the game is the lack of feedback. There's no feedback when I hit enemies or they hit me. In some levels, I have to perform a leap of faith and hope there's ground under there and in others it outright kills me. The music is very out of place and I cringed when the Mission Impossible theme started playing. The game is also too easy. From the enemies to the boss to the platforming, nothing is difficult.

The character design is just... well, a round thing with eyes. It only worked for Kirby because they did it first.
