They were supposedly going to remake FF7 for the PS3 at launch.

Instead they make people wait 4 years for the **** that is 13, 13-2 and versus 13.

But I like always liked the random encounter system, unless it's dark and there are zubats. Eh, I guess it would be okay if that one thing changed.
But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't just remake the game, they would also attempt to make every spinoff piece canon. How simply dreadful!

Basically, if you read between the lines here, what I want is the exact same game I already played, only graphically better. No changes or anything. I am a terrible person.

I absolutely hate turn based combat. I can't stand it. For turn based combat to be fun, it has to have some timing mechanic.
Like Super Mario RPG, or the Mario and Luigi Sagas.

I enjoy moving around action combat, like Star Ocean(beat all 4 of em), and another one made by Tri-Ace called Infinite Undiscovery.
Stand still combat just hurts to play, I really can not stand it anymore.

Legend of Dragoon came close to being fun, but you could only use one "skill" to use at a time aside from your dragoon state. Combat felt hard, and annoying. :/

I enjoy full freedom combat in most cases, Dark Cloud 2, and Kingdom of Amalur.

I'm actually working on a 4 character XP project using BlizzABS, just for fun because I love working with ABS. I love free moment. I hate turn based......

Except for Disgaea, I loved the hell out of disgaea 1,2 and FFTA and FFTA:DS

That particular post kind of makes my heart hurt. I find nothing at all wrong with turn-based combat, regardless of my feelings towards alternatives. I've just spent too many years with it to have any feelings of aggression towards it.

I got so used to moving around, I can't go back to the stand still feel of turn based. It's so, I dunno. It kills me.
Playing Star Ocean, Radiata Stories, Infinite Undiscovery, Rogue Galaxy, the list goes on.
I can't manage anything turn based.

I really don't want a new FFIX, the game is great. Download it for the PS3 or the PSP, then we leave it like that. Remember how zidanne and Freya looked like in cutscenes? Yeah, that's what they would look like all the time if they remade or sequelled it.
