Okay, well this was a really unproductive two days off that I just had, but to be honest, it came at the tail end of an extraordinarily bad week at work so I think I deserved a bit of rest and relaxation. For the time being, I'm going to upload both of greenraven's 5 minute entries to my youtube channel. The first level of Shouzen vs. the Retards II will be up for your viewing pleasure tomorrow night. If I have even more time on my hands, I'll do another recording off the list and upload that as a reward for your patience. But tonight, I'm just going to kick back and relax...hopefully you'll forgive me. :P

1000th post, and it's a big update!

The first level of my second take at Shouzen vs. the Retards II is now uploaded to youtube. I think you'll find it a lot more enjoyable this time around. I tried to inspect every little nook and cranny this time and I also abridged some of the longer fights to make it a bit more watchable. It's still long due to dialogue, but considering that it's meant to be viewed as a let's play, that's fine.

Shouzen vs. the Retards II Parts 1-4:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSxSnIqaqUg

NCGR - Shouzen vs. the Retards II TAKE 2 - Part 2

NCGR - Shouzen and the Retards II TAKE 2 - Part 3

NCGR - Shouzen vs. the Retards II TAKE 2 - Part 4
As an added bonus, greenraven's "5 Minutes Part Two" and "5 Minutes Part Three" have been done as extras!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nOHninPv9Q

NCGR - 5 Minutes - Part 3
Next up on the list are Drenrin's RTP Adventure 2 (which has already been recorded but needs to go through editing) and Proguy's Pokemon Black and White, part one. Shouzen vs. the Retards level two is also recorded so expect that to land around the same time as the other two.

Now let's talk about greenraven's 5 minute game contest, mmkay? If you're not familiar with it, the rules can be found HERE. The bottom line is that you create a game about five minutes in length (can be longer, so don't worry if you go over the limit) and submit it. Easy as pie. Greenraven recently hired me against my will to do reviews of every entry, so if you submit one, that means I get to poke fun at your 5 minute game. Sounds like a blast, huh? Especially with the work that I already have piled up...thanks a lot, greeny. Of course, priority goes to games that are submitted directly to me, but 5-minute reviews are easy to do as extras and they're less stressful for me since I don't have to edit them.

Also, I just want to mention that I deprived myself of sleep to finally do the editing on these. Have to be up for work in five hours and I still have other things to do since I have...company tomorrow. You're welcome. :P

Again take your time :)

I also made a lil' teaser trailer thingy a while back that took like two days to make to show you guys what my game, Pokémon Black & White, is about before Natako plays it and posts her reviews on it. Enjoy!

xD I love the preview proguy. I have to say, me and my friend have been talking seriously about buying some recording equipment for console games and also computer games. I'm so damn excited about the prospect of recording LPs. Just saying, I got a huge list of rm2k3 games I want to LP but that teaser was pretty damn good, I may have to do a little LP of it alongside whatever Natako's doing for it.

I kinda wanted to do a Lets Play for a while now, but for consoles.

A few years back I had this amazing Killzone 2 murder-thon binge. It was me doing online multiplayer with nothing but a bare basic pistol and ending up at the #1 spot of the scoreboard for a whole week running. Just match after match after match I would just dominate everyone.

Now the world may never see my awesomeness again. :x

Any of you that have me on PSN go check out my Killzone 2 trophies. The "top 1% player" trophy didn't just fall on my lap. ::)

Thanks :D

Also Zerodius asked me to do a playthrough of Shyouzen Versus The Retards 2 before he asked Natako, so I'll just share my playthrough I've just uploaded for now if anyone's interested (since I've played the prequel before and I played his other games that have similar game mechanics).

Cool to see someone doing crappy game reviews. Wasn't aware of this until now.

I got a game I would like you to review. Can I pm you the game?

Yeah, sure thing. PM me any crappy games you have and I'll get to them in time.

For those who might be wondering, I'm going to try to update this Friday since that will be my next day off for a while. I'm in that nasty part of my work rotation right now where free time is a valuable commodity. But yeah, expect some things then.

It is alright.

I eagerly await the next update. Not just because of the next stage of my game but also because I'm curious as to what other games you've made reviews of.

Oh and Dark Legend? Been a while since you last submitted a game. If I remember well, you were the one who made Marisa Stole The Precious Thing game and Masochist Tower, right? Or I'm confusing people here?

Indeed! MSTPT game was my least favorite game I made. Masochist Tower wasn't made for crappy games and it is sadly discontinued due to losing interest in the project.

I admit I've been wanting to try out your games for myself. Since you mentionned you're pretty ashamed of MSTPT now (probably because of some of the fake difficulty in the way of the trial & error with the switches leading to tough Gandalf fights or the final stage and its unbalanced boss rush), I guess it means you got other projects other than it that have been completed or at least playable, right?

As for Masochist Tower, what killed it for you? Something with the plot or mechanics that you couldn't pull off? Or didn't manage to make a party that was engaging enough for you to write it through a full length game (even if humorous)?

(I'm asking the last point because this is a big point for full length RPGs ; like with novels, fanfics, comics, or what not, a RPG is driven primarily by the main characters, whenever protagonists or antagonists. Without engaging characters (to the author), a RPG is likely to grind to a halt.

... alternatively, did you run out of ways to kill the player in creative ways? IWBTG works not just because it kills the player a lot ; many games, like Mario Frustration did that before. It succeed because it did it in creative, unpredictable ways... which is part of why creating a full length IWBTG game is not something many creators manage to do despite the game's fanbase)

@Captain Obvious
For MSTPT: I felt I was really uncreative with that one since it had ideas that were done before. Also, lame jokes.
For Masochist Tower: I lost the motivation to work on it and ran into issues I did not feel like fixing. Plus, I felt some stuff were/would be confusing to the player. It's possible I may revive the Masochist Tower though.
