If my grandmother had a PS3, I'd probably be able to play with them too.
They're an Xbox family, though.

Lucky dicks. My brother is the only other gamer in my lineage. My parents are the kind of people who see it as a bunch of toys for children, and my sister has no interest. My brother's a very reclusive gamer, though, and only plays a handful of games, though he plays them religiously.

I kind of play everything.

Same boat as Archem. Even though my brother goes to Smash tournaments and wins money it's still "just a children's toy" and he needs to "grow up"..

By the way, any competitive Smash players in the house? Maybe you've run into my brother, or heard of him, out there. He calls himself HalfDemon13 and he plays for TeamMonsterBiscuit (they got t-shirts and everything). Ring any bells, anyone?

I don't play games competitively, or care about the competitive scene. I think it sucks all the fun out of the game and forces you to master a meta that kills the intended feel of the games. I've had a few games where I've been told about my potential and people trying to recruit me, but I just hate what it makes the games into.

Just sayin'.

Same. I no longer want to play with my brother because it's lost all fun. Items off, final destination, no high-tier characters allowed, blah blah blah.

It's like "Yeah, I'm so good at this game... when I adapt it to me."
I do play some competitive games, but I tend to play for a very short time.

See, that's what I keep telling him. The random element of stages and items is part of the game!!!

Yeah that's boring.

Some people like to think that the "competitive rules" are the rules you should play with because they are the rules used by the "professionals". Don't get it, won't get it. Playing with your friends is for fun. We can do serious but a controlled amount of serious. Prefer PVE games like Diablo though, only get mad at people when they're selling junk instead of helping me kill stuff.

So I preordered borderlands 2, did it for PC. Gonna get some golden key, a magical find amulet(or something like that) and some bonus class for free.
It's gonna be rad.
But it's gonna collide with my time spent playing diablo 3 and guild wars 2.

Oh and of course my studies.

And I got the game, it's awesome.

Only one thing that bothers me. Why did they change the graphics of Angel? I liked he last look better.

Also, anyone knows where I'm supposed to enter my premium club code (preorder)?

Edit: Okay I got it, steam > add game > activate product > enter premium code > wait for background download to complete

I played it with my mom and sister for like four hours last night.
Game's pretty brilliant.
Also, the pre-order bonuses don't give you a completely unfair advantage, which is nice.

I want to strangle Claptrap with his own intestines, though.

New claptrap is a bit obnoxious though. Old claptraps were silly fun.
