I'M ADDICTED GUYS

What's everybody's loot like?
I have a collection of I think 5 or 6 Legendaries, most of which aren't weapons.
The latest is the Legendary Mechromancer class mod, which I found today in a random loot chest.
Being a dumbass and colourblind, I almost skipped it, but my dad went "wait was that orange" and I double taked and then everything was awesome.

Also, anyone else checking out the Pirates DLC right now?
I am, and I can't wait to die to the new raid bosses over and over again in hopes of getting a pink assault rifle.

This phrase made the entire post awesome. Man, I wish I'll have gamer family when I get kids.

Still haven't gotten far in this game. My bro got Fifa and he's kinda addicted to that at the moment. Borderlands just isn't the same without someone to play with.
Yeah I saw that there was a DLC coming out already. Gotta love gearbox.

Also still don't own it. Also, why would you bother skipping any loot if you're unable to tell the color of the glow on it? It only takes a second to go and look at its stats. Dumb.

Everything looked green and my inventory was full of purple and blues, so I didn't bother looking at the prices.
Yeah, I've kind of stopped that habit now.

I hate that I can't leave areas in Borderlands without the loot disappearing. If that weren't the case, I'd play the same way I play Diablo - loot, Town Portal, sell everything, come back, repeat. Instead, I simply find the best loot, then find the highest priced loot, and swap in better prices until I hit a vending machine. If there's still loot in the area, I go back to grab that for selling. It's a bit tedious, but my OCD and greed demand it.

It depends on the rarity in BL2.
Whites disappear sometimes before you leave the room, and anything above green sticks around until you turn the game off.

I won't play Borderlands 2. I liked 1, but after going online, it just lost all it's appeal.

Too much assholes?
Yeah, I don't like hosting public games anymore.
Too many loot whores and people who just want to duel.

I don't think I'd ever play a game like Borderlands with randoms. Ever. Like, maybe if I had a gun to my head, but past that, it's simply a no-go.

Exactly. Other people online are assholes, and any time they can grief, PK, and loot steal, they will.

I prefer games with inconsequential multiplayer interactions, like shooters. That way, if people are assholes, no big deal. You didn't lose anything important, you don't have to worry about them ruining a quest line. You don't need to spend an hour recovering from their ****-ups. You just respawn and return to what you were doing.

Borderlands 2 on the PS3 is actually rather calm online...as long as you're not the one who's hosting.
Using matchmaking, I usually find some alright parties that don't try to steal all the loot.
Although, I have made a new friend by hosting a game...so, y'know.

I like the idea of individual loot, as done in Diablo 3 and guild wars. The one in WoW was okay but not as good(monsters beside bosses and such would only drop loot to one person at a time, so in a party of 5 - each fifth monster would be your loot).
There's no loot stealing that way which is lovely. Everyone gets a reward.
But then someone might get tons of amazing stuff while others get crap. Isn't exactly fair I guess. That's one of the reason magical find became an issue in diablo 3, at the start the MF of all players were evened out between them. So a person with high mf benefited the entire party at least. Then some patches later they removed this, which I kinda liked. But all of a sudden you start to get annoyed with people that throw on their MF gear when the monster is at 30% and just stands and watches as you are killing it.

So, play with your friends and not with strangers. Strangers are rapists and murderers.
