About 4 billion or so years ago, approximately a billion years after our cloud nebula was heated up by a supernova and collapsed and created the planets and the sun, during the planet creation process, collisions were common from all the chaos.  It was theorized that another planet slammed into Earth and the pieces of debris that flew off of it were caught in the Earth gravity and eventually became our moon.  The moon has all those craters still because it does not have techtonic plate movement, so the erosion doesn't get rid of the craters, like our Earth has.  But since everything calmed down, it allowed life to form here and BAM here we are.

The asteroids and meteors come from either the asteroid belt nears mars or the Oort Cloud that surrounds our entire solar system.  Usually comets come from the Oort cloud however because they are frozen rock and heat up as they plummet towards our sun creating a tail blah blah blah.  Another reason we don't get TOO many collisions now is our brotha Jupiter.  His massive gravity tends to reel in asteroids floating around freely thinking they're rebels trying to wreck ****.

Although these are all theories, they do have evidence.  And if you know about all of it, it makes sense.  Stuff floating around in outer space attract to each other and stick.  This was discovered accidentally when an astronaut put salt or something in a bag and noticed everything clumped together.  I don't know where I'm going with this but it's interesting to know I guess haha.

With the extreme amount of toxic and volatile gases in space, I'm saying a fart is very likely the cause.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I would assume that, with all the blackness of space, it would be easy for them to hide.
