It's been a while!

Good evening everyone.

Ages ago I stumbled upon a nifty little tool called RPG maker 2003. I was stunned, holy hell. I remember as a kid thinking 'duuuude, I can make my own stories, heroes, monsters, everything!'. So, I start it up, and to be honest, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. placing random castles in water, no spawn point, no random encounters, nothing. The following weeks were spent staring blandly at all the different tabs, trying to figure out what does what, and how to actually play my own game. As hard as it was, it felt good figuring everything out on my own, but I'd end up getting stuck anyway.

To the google machine!

Many, many searches later, I came across this site, and fell in love with it right away. Vibrant community, weird story games in the off-topic boards. General chatting, creating some toons in the character creator, you know, the good stuff.
I remember having weird *** conversations together with LinkIsCool, BlackSkullWarlock, Moose and even Alex. I believe that last name is in fact even the founder of this site, if I'm not mistaken ofcourse.

Back in the day, and we're talking eight years if not more I used to go by the name 'MasterMindBrain(MMB)' on here.
Still trying to figure out how the hell I even thought that name would sound cool, but eh.. yeah.

Anyways! I spent a lot of time on this site, and my love for spriting came from this here website. I in fact still love making sprites/sprite art, but not anything compatible with any of the RPG makers whatsoever.

I came back here, mainly out of nostalgia, hoping some old members would still be around. And generally wondering how active this site still is. I Suspect I'll be hanging out in any off-topic threads or generally chatting about everyones game progress (I took a peek at the forums before registering again and noticed some people were doing some cool stuff).

So, there it is, MasterMindBrain is back, alive and well, saying hello to all the old members and anyone who's joined in the past years!

I'm surprised that I recognize that name. I'm not surprised that I can't seem to attach it to a specific person.

Either way, welcome back. We're still active, but we're not exactly running on all cylinders these days. There are still some projects here and there, but those of us still around are mostly here just to keep in touch. The sense of community is still pretty strong among us.

Hi. I remember seeing your name, but it was probably on posts from before I joined. I think...

As pointed out, the site's active... but slow. Some people are still doing stuff, but not as much as before. I read more than I post and I feel that's the same for many. Which is quite a shame, but you know. Things change, we grow up, stuff, etc. Lots of member left, too. So any one coming back is contributing to potentially livening the place.

In any case, welcome back, and do stay. We could use more actively active people.
