Laptop Recommendation

So my current laptop is basically trying to kill itself so i need a new one. Does anybody recommend a brand or whatever? I don't play computer games, so a gaming laptop is something i do not need.

I mainly use it for music, quick surfing, rpgmaker, and school related things. Thanks guys!

I'm personally a big fan of the Asus N-Series laptop. They come with a sound system by Bang and Olufsen with external (yet portable) subwoofer. Great sound for a laptop. The video cards in it are good enough for your average gaming, and you can save in costs by getting some of the older models of the series.

I am a music nut so good speakers are a perk. I'll look into it, thanks! You kinda get tired of your computer turning off during an ipod sync and corrupting it...

I wouldn't recommend HP.

Also heard good things about Asus. No personal experience with it though.

I bought a refurbished Asus for 300 bucks and its awesome. Sturdy build, reliable hardware. HP is a notoriously evil company. Whatever you get, don't get an HP!

Well the final decision is my brother is building me a desktop computer for like 1000 dollars or so.  The details of it are currently unknown but yeah.  Once i get it ill play the chain game and continue to work on Sacrosanct.

Desktops are distinctly different from laptops in case you weren't aware.

Yes. I use my wiiu for portable interwebbing anyways. Desktop turns out to be the better choice.

I have my new PC up and running.  She glows blue lol.  I've begun installing old programs and everything so I should be getting back to finishing up my game I've been working on forever... :/
