Well, considering in the Yu-gi-oh manga in Japan, Yugi electrocutes a guy to death and kills someone with his barehands, yes, it is very watered down. But you are right, Yu-Gi-Oh does sucks.

The japanese version's are great, but America has to keep F****** them up!

America does mess them up. Do you know, I heard from my brother that they cut ff7 short because they didn't want to translate? My brother said you were suppose to get aeris back! It's the same thing with zelda 64. cut short! ...

Getting Aeris back is a load. Your brother is full of it.

They were orignally going to have Aeris revived, but they had to meet the release date, so they left it out. That goes for the ending as well. Therefore, WE didn't mess it up.

if japan is making advent children, and in advent children, aeris is dead....so how is it possible she could be revived?

I do believe that America messed up a lot of animes, but I also believe that some of them were destined for failure. Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, most animes that were based on a game (or based on a manga that either sparked the game or the game was origional, i dunno how those actually worked out in the beginnning) that included collecting and battling or some type of card game just aren't good in the first place.

Think about it. In the real world it's just a card game, but in each respective anime it runs, like, THE ENTIRE WORLD. Like in Yu-Gi-Oh, most people would consider the card players nerds and ignore them, but in the show they have stadiums full of fully grown adults cheering on these kids throwing cards at each other. And then if one wins, no matter how wimpy the kid might be, the loser has to give up something or let them pass, like they just got their *** beat up or something.

And then the stuff like holographic machines or real monsters coming out of the cards/spinning top. For some reason these kids, and it's ALWAYS kids, are okay with having a piece of cardboard or a plastic top that can summon monsters that don't exist in the real world.

I never saw the japanese DBZ, but if it had the same amount of fighting time-animation, then that's it's flaw. An entire episode could just be goku and some monster punching and kicking each other, screaming very loud, and throwing balls of energy at each other, and this can go on for SEVERAL episodes before anything that will really affect the storyline happens.

EDIT - Just rumor check, a LONG LONG time ago I saw mention of some filler episode of DBZ that was mostly a sex scene between bulma and some unknown lady. They had found some scrolls that taught they "techniques" and they used them on each other.
It also had a scan(manga) of dende and popo dropping the scroll and bulma finding it, but looking back I realize that they could've been faked translations. Just wondering, it's always peaked my interest as to if they would've gone that far in japan (They HAVE shown bulma's crotch and her naked getting dressed in DB)

Actually, you do see Aeris in the church in FF7, and you can go back and talk to her, but you don't get her on your party again.
