Tale Of Two Fates

It is called,
A Tale of Two Fates, or something along those lines, I haven't decided,

anyway, it's about two main characters, you have to choose one in the beginning,

Strife, or Erios,  the two of them have been training for months, and are finally ready to return to serve under the king, they are soon involved in stoping a plot to assasinate the kings of the surrounding countries, as the story progresses you meet new characters, new enemies, and someone is trying to force the two heroes apart,

there are several major points in the story, which change depending on who you chose in the beginning, I'll probably add a new game plus mode so that you can get the whole story,

sorry, it's a bit long winded, so that's all I'll write for now, if you want more info, just tell me, I'll probably post screen shots, and give some character info

The choosing between the differant heros sounds interesting. It would be cool if you could maby post some more info or screens or whatever you got   :)

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Alright, I'll post some screen shots for u to see,

it's coming along a little slowly, I have to go back and touch up some stuff, I thought it was good until I saw some of the stuff you guys on this site were doing.... (I was wrong)

And this is a screen of a market you visit early on in the game, I should have mentioned this before, that' only the north west part of the market, it's actualy a much bigger map... well you'll see when it's done
 

(a note to anyone who cares) I am not the most creative person, so basically all my resources come from all around the web, I did a few myself, but not many, anyway, if you see something that  you made, tell me, I'll be sure to put you in the credits

and to Daniel, sure, if you want to beta test I would love the assitance, thanks, to be honest though, I dont' know where to post my game when it's done

well, here is some more info for my game,

there is no world map, just several world map sized countries that you can wander in, for the first chunk of the game, it's fairly linear, but you can back track, after a while though, you have to travel between countries, in more classic RPG style, I'll probably add a teleport system to get you around quicker,

for monsters I used the standard RTP monsters for monsters you see just wandering around, I tend to use different bosses from other games for my Bosses, and some Monster groups are non RTP, (i didn't go all non RTP because I'm too lazy....)

I can't really give away the story line, just know, that it is not what it seems at first, it really picks up after the third country....

attached is a picture of one of the Countries you visit in the game, it's taken from the map edit screen, and I enlarged it, so excuse the poor quality

I haven't got much feed back from you guys, so I don't know what  info to post, so please, tell me, but in the meantime, I'll give a little more info

I know people tend to hate when RTP graphics are used, but I still use them, mainly to add variance, but I will have enough non RTP graphics to even it out...

Let's see...

Oh, right, my exp system,

I completly got rid of EXP, I hate it, it sucks, so instead I got a new system, pretty much the Chrono Chros system, at significant boss fights you level up automatically, keeping your entire team equal the entire game, and also making it so you are allways at the level you need to be, when you get to the end of the game, you will be strong enough to beat the last boss, but with extreme difficulty, so there are sub bosses associated with the side quests....

Well no one has left any replys... in a while... but I'll hold out anyway,

I need some help from anyone who wants to help me, mainly on technical elements, and I could use soem midi makers...

Updates about my game,

I've added a system in which you can buy one of four houses around the world, all four are available, but once you've bought one, the others can't be bought. Some of them have little easter eggs, some have multiple decorums to choose from, etc...

If anyone has any questions or comments, or anything they would really love to see, tell me... thanks.

I would like to know, is it really important to have stuff like a day and night system, or hunger system, etc...

I mean, sure alot of the things that you can do, can add something extra to a game, but is it really necessary, I mean, Final Fantasy 6 was in my opinion the greatest Final Fantasy made so far, and it's only special feature was the esper system, It focused more on level design, and story,

I just want to know, do you guys agree with me, or am I going about this wrong....

the only things extra I"ve added are,

A house buying system,
A bank system,
A character changing system,

and guys, please, tell me what I need in my game, or what you want to see...

i have 1 suggestion-

no offence, i dont like the idea that they just finished training, its too generic. if it would screw up ur storyline to change it, just keep it, but if not than i advise u to change it becausest kinda corny no offence

and can i have that japanese charaset from the town above?

as for features, duels are always a cool feature (suikoden style)
