New projects: Faces.EX and Battle.EX
« on: September 03, 2004, 09:12:58 PM »
Well, for the ones with PureBasic 3.90, I'm planning on making a faceset generator AND a battlecharset generator. But downsize: I don't have much time on my PC.

So, this is what I need. People with lots of experience in PureBasic. If there is anyone who can make these generators in PureBasic (legally or illegally, I wouldn't care less). These are the things that really need to be in:

Faces.EX
File format for resources: .fmr
File format for generated faces: .face
For both, use the built in packer. Also, it's handy to use the FreeImage plugin as well, though you don't need it for PNG files.

Battle.EX
File format for resources: .bcmr
File format for generated sets: .bttl / .battle
For both, use the built in packer. Also, it's handy to use the FreeImage plugin as well, though you don't need it for PNG files. Also, the A+B sets must be saved in ONE file. No seperate B set for each resource.

Help with offline generator
« Reply #1 on: September 11, 2004, 01:13:35 PM »
I don't know much about purebasic but I do have it.  If you can give me a simple, what you want done, I would be willing to help.

I found a post for a offline generator with purebasic in the forums, but the link was dead, and I made the mistake of asking if anyone had a current link.

I learn quickly, even at my age, and have lots of spare time.

Well, I don't know exactly what you mean, but I do have the source code of the new version of Charas.EX (compiled by me). Use it as a refference, it's not really handy to use as a base for a new generator. Besides, I'm planning on changing a lot of things (like a better zoom function). Also, in the Charas.EX official version (the first one), you can find the FreeImage DLL, which is required.

Hmmm, could you make it surport all styles of Battle character with resources for all, I hate editing Battle characters

also I was thinking of something liek Weapon.EXE,

WEAPON.EXE

-Like in Charas.exe you click on the choose set that has things liek, sword-Small-Battler, sword -Normal character
-you have pieces for each set and it allows you to piece together to make your own special weapon
-You can import your own weapon pieces
-To preview you choose a battle set and the attack row and it shows the animations in a small box

I don't think Weapons.exe would work but I know you could do the top one, I need lots of styles to create games.

EDIT: Oooops, just realised how old the topic is, sorry! Really, really sorry!!!!!
