The Eternal Struggle: From now on, the general thread.
« on: September 25, 2004, 12:15:01 PM »
I've been busy on this game since May 2003 and alot of the game has changed by now.
If anyone can help doing some good non-RTP battlecharacters, just tell me, I can appreciate any help from anyone.

I have only 3 screenshots of the new version since I hardly have all the graphics I need.

I started a new thread because the old one died out.

The Eternal Struggle: Revolution of the Werewolf is actually the second half of a story I've been working on for ages. I have been trying to make this an aftermath to the Final Fantasy series, unlike a normal fangame, hence I'm not truly calling it a Final Fantasy fangame. Regard this as a spinoff, not a wrongly-named fangame. At first this takes use of some clichés known from those series, but afterwards they get eliminated due to the chaotic way of the story. (that is, chaotic if you didn't play through the first part, which isn't even under construction yet. Also, some things return in the latest part of the story.) But just for the chaos of it, I'm trying to get the second part started first, because when you would have known the first part, you would know the villain throughout the whole story, appearing behind the screens at first. Talking about story, I'm just about to get started on it. Get ready for chaos.

Revolution of the Werewolf:
The War of Salvation has for hundreds of years ended. However, Lake Phobos still bears the blood mist, as retaliation to the death of Astharos, the Jackal, or so some called him. But the true threat could lie within the lordship of Thanatos, although some believe that he is just still vengeful for the death of his son. He had been trying to corrupt the Kingdoms of Mythe to slavery of lycanthropes. Only he hadn't been putting it into plan, but then he heard of a young boy being found at the borders of the village of Kazahn back in his world. Of this he could make abuse a few years later.
And a few years later, Eli, the silent boy that had been found at the edge of the village where he now lived, went inside the nearby forest to pluck a root for some coming visitors from a nearby kingdom. It seemed that to pluck this root he had to go inside a cave, but even more unfortunately he had to encounter a triceratops (is it getting weird yet?). Fortunately, the thing was slow, and he could defeat it to then retrieve the root. When he left the cave, he felt an ice cold gaze aimed at him for a while. When it left his senses, he heard something just behind him, and got bitten in the shoulder by something, fainting, although still hearing an old man's voice shout some words and a loud screech....

Sorry to be a bother, but does anyone know a good place for a font patch for RM2003? To anyone who knows a good one, tell me through PM.

UGh, sorry but those maps are too big and empty. You need more stuff or smaller rooms.

This is the newest screenshot I took of the game now.
A simple save point, yes, and even then I could try perfecting it.

It's actually the main hero. But that changes later in the game.

Someone should make a game entirely with RTP.

The game looks pretty good, although I agree with Red on the room point.
