Eternal Fantasy
« on: October 04, 2004, 09:26:34 AM »
Hey everyone. The other day I slept at Shin's hopuse and we came up with a good idea for a game, thanks to .Hack//. The story revolves around us and two m8s (one is Razor) who r kicked outta their local gaming place. They find a hidden gaming place called Galaxy Gaming on there way back from McDonalds. The mysterious old man introduces them to a game called Eternal Fantasy. They are zapped into it and their individual journeys begin.

Grant's Character- Myyrwraith- To be the best Pker
Rob's Character- Razor- To find the rarest item
Steven's Character- Larica- To clock the major quest
Brenton's Character- Shindo- To find away out of the game

The possible systems that could be in the game:

Day/Night
Time/Date
Banking
Wait for Shops
CMS
CBS
Broadcast events
PK Players
Special effects
Hunger/thirst
Drunk
Bladder
Retard NPCs
Intelligent NPCs
Duelling
Running w/Stamina
Capture monsters
Forging
Cooking
Fishing
Farming
Capentry
Respawn
Archery
Werewolves
Lumberjack
Minigames
Classes
Jobs
Weather
Quests
Mining
horse breeding system

also we need npc players. if ya want to be in it give us ya character set and if ya a treasure hunter, pker or whatever.

Sounds good, only thing i have to say is cut down on that list of features. Keep them all in the game, but when advertising it, only give the best ones. For example, intelegent npcs, retard npcs, quests, are in every game and really shouldn't be classified as a feature. Then you list classes and jobs as two seperate things, I may be wrong, but usually those are the same things. Respawning monsters, I've never played a game with monsters that were gone for good once you kill them. Then finally you list time/day, date/time, and weather effects, you could probably list these as one.

Anyway like I said the game dose sound good :D so don't worry if I diss that rather long list. Oh and could you possibly explain a few of the features you talk about, like what will the cbs be like and what is that broadcast system (i never heard of that before :))

I think you mean you have never played a game were monsters were not dead for good after you killed them. If so try Final Fantasy 6 Or 3 for some.

Edit by Sai'Kar: Messing up quotes can lead to DEATH. Be careful.

Wait, are we talking about bosses respawning? Because I know that the regular monsters respawn and aren't gone after you kill them once. Anyway if its bosses respawning then I understand, if not then Im confused  :eyes:

no as in there is no gameover, u just respawn. cos u get sucked into an mmorpg, the game has to be like it, or otherwise it'll make no sense.

In other words, if you die, you don't get gameover, you just reappear at your last respawn point, only problem is, you go down one level.

yeh we figured we'd put this in so that it makes the game harder and so players don't die and think" oh well, i am just back to where i was". Now that think" F*********************************************!"
