I am trying to use the halo battle character sets on your site but when I try to import them I get an invalid color depth message. how can I fix this?

An invalid colour depth means that the image just has too many colours. RPG maker only supports 256.
Alot of basic image editing programs have a convert function to convert pictures to 256. Try searching for something.

i can make them work. I can convert pngs or Bmps into gifs then bmps

Download a trial and use the "decrease color depth" function. It's saved me so many times I am its slave now. What? Ow! No, massa, don' break out da whip!
