Sam Webster's Resources
« on: December 15, 2004, 08:00:47 AM »
Hello, I'm Majin Sam, owner of Majin Sam's Domain, the only other place that hosts Sam Webster's resources.
These resources are exclusive to here and to my site, so please, do not post them on your own without due permission from us.
Sam doesn't visit the forums but I usually do, so I can answer any questions you may have for him.

Please remove your homepage link. It has an illegal rpg maker download, and this is against charas' rules.
In fact, I would advise you to remove the rpg maker download all together, if you don't want to get in trouble with geocities, or something.

Apparently, it is illegal to sell i, but because it is a translation it's freeware, making it legal.  On top of that, I'm gainin no profit from it and am not charging people for it.  RM2k3 and XP are currently illegal to host, however.

nooooo, because it is an unapproved translation it is illegal. RMXP even more so.
Don't argue with us, these rules have been talked about, debated and redone. If you think you're smarter than all of us, than linking to an illegal thing may risk you a ban.

Why would enterbrain let you own a translation, but not host one?
Just because you got it free, doesn't mean it's freeware. The english translation of the RPG maker 2000 was authored by Don Miguel, who is not an employee of enterbrain, and who distributed the translated rm2k for free.
It's not legal.

Indeed. Sorry to sound mean, but we really appreciate the rules. Don't we all? :D
