Voice actors needed!

Yesterday I started working on a new CBS for DragonWorld to replace the old one (more info on that below). As I was making it I was thinking of features I could add to it. One of the things I came up with is voice overs for various skills and such. For example, if a character would use a fire skill, a sound effect would play right before the player casts lightning that would say "Fire!" or maby something like "Scorch the lands with your migthly blaze, Fire 3!"

So if your interested in vioce acting for my game, just let me know  , then I'll send a list of things I need said by each character. I'll need vioce overs for the following 4 characters.

I thought this may be something fun to try, but if no ones interested I may have to scrap the idea :p


NEW BATTLE SYTEM:

K one of the reasons this isn't in the requests forum, is because I wanna get peoples feeback on the new battle system I'm making. Heres all the stuff on it so far

Instead of only 1 v 1 battles like before, it supports 3 v 4 battles (3 party members verse 4 monsters). Both monsters and party members will be fully animated in most cases.

Since I'm working on making a bunch of rmxp sprites for a sequal to this game, I thought I'd put them to use. During more powerfull skills, I may add little cutscenes with the rmxp sprites as picture files doing the skills. My rmxp sprites would apear to be 4 times as large as my battlers. It's kinda hard to explain what I all want to do with this, but hopefully you got the basic idea.

Skill combenations - I stole this idea from bof 4. You can select the order in which the party members attack, and if you select a certain combination of moves between 2 or 3 characters, a new more powerfull move will be preformed by the 2nd or 3rd person in the chain of attacks. For example, if you select dragonblaze to do "fire breath" then after him you have Kyruto do "fire", instead of Kyruto preforming "fire", he will preform "blistering inferno" (note: mp costs will not increase when the skill levels up).

And finally voice overs

Those are the major things which I plan on implementing into my system. At the bottom I have atached a pic of what I have made so far. Note, the menu bar dosen't apear untill after you select a character)

Oh yeah, one more thing, do you think the name Tara would be too cliche? I know its simular to Terra, and thats used in a lot of games, but a girl at my school wanted me to name a character after her. However if its too cliche I'll just name a secondary character after her instead which will be fine

Zersevick has fewer moves that need to be recoreded, but he has a little dialoge in the last battle, so it should be about the same as one of the "hero" characters. I'll send you his dialoge for his skills in a pm a little later tonight or tomarrow sometime. I don't have the end battle dialoge written up word for word yet, so it may be a few days before i get that to you. You don't need to be in any kind of hurry to make these, I just need them sometime before Febuary, because thats when I plan on releasing the final version  


And yes, you need a microphone to do these. I guess there are other ways to do it, but it requires advanced programs, or at least thats what I'm guessing...

Ok, great! Yes, I do have a microphone, if I didn't, I wouldn't have posted. :p But anyway, I don't have the greatest of voices, BUT, since my dad DOES have a recording studio and a bunch of equipment and stuff at my house, I could probably modify my voice to be a lot more "villianish" So yeah, I guess I'm the voice of Zersevick. w00t!

Allright I got his list of skills and phrases before each skill typed up and I'm sending it to you in a pm. You don't have to follow the words exactly if you think of something better, but you should try to stick with the basic idea. Anyway do these whenever you have time.  


To anyone else who wants to do voice overs:

In a few days if I don't get enough people to fill the positions, I'll be asking around on other sites for volenteers. So if your interested in doing one of these characters, you should probably volenteer as soon as you can, otherwise there may not be any open positions

Just a question, is Kyruto more of a happy go luck guy, or is he a serious guy? Just so I can get a feel for his personality.

Well he tries to be more of a cheerful guy when he's around others, but deep down inside he is rather depressed. And he usually is more of a serious person. If you want the full story on him, just let me know and I'll PM it to you. Some reasons and such why he is the way he is would be a spolier, so I don't want to post it here in the forums.

I'll PM you the dialoge for Kyruto later tonight hopefully.

Tara is a female part, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find anyone to play her. I'll probably change her name to something else, but for now I'll just refer to her as Tara.
