Most useless invention

What is the most useless invention in your opinion? For me, I find clothing, other than undergarments, to be the most useless. Unless it's cold out you don't need pants and a shirt. What do YOU think? :|

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Noone would invent anything without purpose, and even if they did, noone would sell it or mass-produce it, so if anyone DID make something utterly useless, chances are noone will have heard of it.
