SFX may be a great thing, but what about the bandwidth?
A midi file is small, a png resources is small too.
But a wav sfx is not.

Maybe MP3s may be better, but not equal to midi size anyhow (if you want GOOD sfxs).

Wavs and Mp3s would be make for a stupendously high amount of burnt up storage space and bandwidth. So, no.

Yes, but we cannot allow a "partial" category.
If we accept a "small enough" rule, we'll have to choose thinking at filesize more then at quality.

Wha will you do with a SFX that is "too big" but incredibly good?
What with SFXs that users like very much?
And what with small but horrible effects?

Nope... to allow a partial category will lead to confusion and discussions, i think.

I guess, how many people actually use SFX anyway? I know for battles and such, but there are sites that have huge directories of sounds..
