Endless Heart II

Story- It's about a knight who's father has recently died in battle. While he visits his fathers grave a mysterious ghost appears and says he can bring back his father, but in only one condition. That condition is to get a crystal that powers and entire palace, well guarded. In the game you will get side tracked by the enemy army that has been attacking your village, and makes it much more difficult to get to the crystal.

P.S. :It's a pretty length game, and I don't want to give away too much.

I have been recently working on my new game Endless Heart II. I'm a newbie at making rpg games, but I have figured out enough to make a alright game. If you have any tips you can give me please do so, I need all the help I can get.

Well I like the begining about the ghost and him trying to get the crystal and getting sidetracked, just make sure you don't spend too much time involved with getting the crystal or collecting anything else for that matter. Having games where you have to go out and find/collect/aquir things usually get boring pretty fast , instead have it lead into something else much larger than reviving his father. I don't know, maybe you were already planning on doing this, but I just thought I should point it out

Grey (Main Character) - He is a knight apart of his village's army led by a man named General Smith. His father recently died in a battle to protect the village, and that was the only family he had left. He is trying to get a crystal to bring back his father.

Mace- He is Grey's best friend, and is also part of the village army. Exept he is a thief, and is not alway to be trusted. As a child he also learned an art of calling monsters to help him defeat his enemies.

Jay- He is from a thousand years into the future. He is just a soldier in the army who was asked to tryout a teleport machine, but somehthing goes terribly wrong and he gets sent to Grey's time.  He brings along some futuristic weapons. He brings some comedy to the game.

Those are just the Three main characters there is more, but I'm to lazy to type all of them in...

In the game there is a bunch of twists and you find the crystal quickly it's what happens after that makes the game interesting.

It came out bad, but the game was all finished, so I decided to make a whole new game and just call it Endless Heart II. It was originally going to be called Silver X Sword, but it didn't go well with the story.

How do you do the thing where you can switch characters at a save point, but the levels will not change each time you take somone out of your party...I need some help from someone who is an RPG 2003 expert. PLEASE HELP!!
