Why the hell won't my Skill Subsets work?! Nothing in a subset will work any more! Help!

Aah... I beat Mobile Type 8, I got 3rd place in Character Creation for Arlan (W00t!) and I feel pretty damn grrreat! It doesn't even matter that the girl I've liked for two years but never had the courage to say anything is going out with the chav I most despise. Hehe.

That Behemoth thing is being put to good use. I'm thinking it could be the Kizanam (Read this). Anyway, it matters ye nott. I'll find some use for it.

Subsets and moves still won't work.

And on topic, most rm2k3 problems only last a short while. It should fix itself eventually.

The demo will be out in a week or two, providing everything goes smoothly, and I manage to find

- All the resources I need.

- A place to upload the demo.

- A decent Caterpillar tutorial.

The resources I need are

- A decent battle theme.

- A victory jingle.

- A GO.

- A better MIDI than the one I made for a Dwarven Town.

- Some stuff which I've just this minute forgotten, but I'll probably remember a few minutes after I decide not to use it. Meh.

Thanks Weerd, that's helpful. It sounds more like a boss theme, but I already have an idea where I can use it later. So thanks.

And don't worry about it being good enough. A lot of stuff I have in the game at the moment isn't brilliant, but this is great.

Anyway, stuff I have left to do:

- Finish making the first chapter.

- Make that bloody caterpillar system.

- Tie up all the loose ends, like the holes in the party change system.

- Make the blacksmith system.

- Gather all my resources, and have someone test it.

I assume your skill subsets sorted themselves out then?

I decided not to use the subsets any more, because they wouldn't work. I just made a different named Skill menu for each character. It has the exact same effect, and it works pretty well.

Well, actually, I just thought of it.

I'm getting pretty tired, but of course, it's half-term here, so I have the rest of the week to myself. Expect plenty of screens tomorrow, depending on how much I get done.

By the way, another question from me. Don't worry, it's an easy one. Do you guys use a single "Bad Status" pose, or separate poses for each status effect? At the moment I'm doing the latter, and I just would like to know. As a matter of opinion.

By the way, the demo will be slightly late (I have some serious editing of maps to do, to make them as pretty as Leon's ), but when it comes, please don't complain if there's a slight lack of story. I'm having trouble packing everything into the gameplay I have so far (About 10-15 minutes, depending on how crap at puzzles and battling you are).

Here's one screen which I'm pretty proud of for some reason.



And the party fighting a Lizardman. These guys are a pain to fight, mainly because they keep Lizard Kicking you and confusing your party members. A Medic with a knife who is confused is not a good person to have around.

I'd just like to mention that in that last screen, "???" is Radian. I just had to change it for the intro.

Anyway, because I just had to steal the Text-Telling-You-Where-You-Are thing from Leon (), let's all stop by the Farm and buy some Critters! XD
