If you're wondering i've moved my project thread to this one cuase the old one was geting a little crowded.
This is the situation:I'm redoing the game.I made a new folder and am working realy hard on a demo right now.
Muraiko is done with the ABS.He'll give it to me soon and i'll get to work on that.
But the point of this thread is to help me finish the demo.
Any questions?

Plot:
David Dent runs a small inter galactic delivery service,and is asked to
deliver a bow and a set of arrows to planet Xi Ling for the local Lord Lonewolf.
He sets off whith his trusted R2 unit named R2 I0 a.k.a."Rusty" and his moogle
co-pilot named Stu.When gets in space he goes back to the cargo hold to check
that the bow is sucure and finds it lying on the floor opened.He picks it up
and suddenly fleels the urge to string it.So being sombody who acts on impluse
he does.Then he gets the urge to put an arrow in it."Why not?"says David trying
to put the arrow in he losses his grip and the arrow shoots in into the cockpit
and hits the Hyper drive hot stick!And the The ship jumps into hyperspace whithout any cordinates....
What happens next?

Back Story: He was found by a man called Sylas Molos, who took the boy in as his own.
He thought David how to fly his space ship. David is a hothead and a punk, but very
sensitive when comes to his freinds, puting thier needs above his own. He tends to rush
into situations without thinking. He is also "Force Sensitive", but doesn't seem to realize it,
as his abilities seem to manafest randomly.

Back Story: David's Co-pilot, and superviser. Stu perfers following the rules to having
fun. He and David don't get along, since David is always trying to rush into things, and
Stu preffers to think everything through. He likes stats and logic, rather than "Jumping into it".
He secretly knows who David's mother is but won't tell David even under threat of torture.

R2-R4 A.K.A. "Rusty"

Race: R2 seies Astromech Droid
Age: unknown (has been with David since he was a infant)
Weapon: Electro probe
Back Story: R2-R4, or Rusty as he is latter dubbed by David, was found with David in a
shipping crate by Sylas, who took the little droid in affter seeing how much it seemed to
like the boy. He is an R2 astromech droid, he is unusauly freindly and cares about Davis
and his freinds. Rusy is David's best freind and closest companion. David loves Rusty as
much as any of his human freinds and says so.
A note when using Rusty in battle: Rusty is a droid and thus can't use natural iteims such as Bacta Pacthes and Star Dust Vials to heal or rivied during battle or on a map. Instead he uses Reboot Circuts and Oil Cans to heal and revive. Also Rusty may gain EXP like any other member, but he never learns any abillities or gains any stats. You must purchase new abillities for Rusty from a shop or Droid Specialties store. This my sound trying and you may consider leaving him out of your adventures, think of this however. Rusty gains another form of EXP during missions, mini games, and just from traveling with you. It's called Quirk points. When Rusty has engoug of these points he can learn things that other cannot. They range from battle techs to bounus such as
Avoid Enemies and Shoker. More on those latter.

Lonewolf
Homeworld: Xia Lan
Race: Xian
Talents: Healing skills and Spirit Magic.
Age: 34
Weapon: Hunting Bow and Tamahawk
Back Story: Cheif Lonewolf is the Cheif of the Kiwa tribe of Xia Lan. He is kind man with a good sense of justice. Cheif Lonewolf's villiage is hidden deep in the forest of Xia Lan. He first meets David when David crashes on Xia Lan. He offers to give David a new ship and help him fix it, if he will acompany him on a quest to find his lost son, Riverhawk. ( I might add more to this bio latter)

Homeworld: Unknown (A ture bounty hunter never reveals his origins)

Talents: Jet can sense death and can kill a man with a single blow.
Weapon: Chain Scythe and Slug thrower
Back Story: A wanted man at only age 19, Jet is rumored to have killed 120 pepole even beffore he became a Bounty Hunter.
He is feared even by his own Guild. He has orphaned at a young age and trown out on the streets of Dathis, the criminal sydicate world.
At age fourteen he became a Pickpoket, killing to survive the brutal dessert climate of Dathis' outskirts. His ture potential was discovered when he killed three men single handly in a bar fight at the age of sixteen. There he met a man named Sal, who tought him the Killing arts.

Talents: Mike can take two iteim in a melding device and fuse them into one to create a new skill or iteim.
Weapon: Balion Sword: a small sword with many cravings on the blade.
Back Story: Mike was born on the stormy planet of Tempus 7. As such he deeply cares for art in all forms and will go to great leagths to protect the art of the galaxy. He was sent to Golon, a backwater world controlled by a monarchy rather that the Federation, to invistagate cliams that the locals had been destroying historical artifacts and Fedration Property. He has been out of contact for several weeks. David is given the task of tracking down Mike and bringing him back to Charisia.

Back Story: Jack is a member of a local Pyloian piriate gang called Kraken's Saber. He was raised by captian Bolo Kraken, leader of the Kraken's Saber. The catptian happened upon Jack when he docked in port Terferry. The Captain was looking to restock his gunpowder and resupply the ship. He named the boy Jack. Jack grew into a fine..Whatever he was. He was very good almost every task he did, but had a wondering mind and would abandon whatever he was doing causing him to get into trouble. Jack acts like a two year old most of the time, but seems to have moments of briliance at other times.

Talents: Mechanical Enigiering.
Weapon: Katana
Back Story: Muraiko was born on an idustrial planet that was complety covered in slum-like cities. He learned how to repair Starships from his fathwer who was on,Sekata, a world class Mechanic. Muraiko was a fast learner and soon knew even more than his father in a few short weeks. Everyone thought he was going to take over the family buisness, but he had no disire to do such. He had dreams and he was going to live them out. One day a fancy Star Yacht came to the planet and Muraiko Seized his oppertuninty to leave his world behiend forever. He snuck aboard the Starship and left beffore anyone was the wiser. Unfountuly his victory was short lived, as the cruiser's auto pilot took him to an unfamilar planet of Dekola which a secret sect of Assaisons called thier home. He managed to win over the assains by killing sevral of thier top members with nothing more than the Hydrospaner in his hand and soon became a top ranking member.

The ABS is finished!Thanks to Muraiko!I have the new version right here.
Let me explain the controlls:
Z=Lasers
Shift is a new Claw feature that Muraiko came up with.
This demo uses an over heat system,like Epitome of Anima.
If you go over the overheat limit it will take Hp to use your lasers.

Oh... is it a bit too difficult? If that's the case, then you could always lower the enemie's stats. Right before the battle even begins, it assigns all the enemie's attack, and defense power into variables. Simply lowering their attack will actually make them weaker. Either that, or you could just increase the ship's HP. Sorry, I guess I just kinda like making difficult stuff. It was pretty easy when I tried it a couple of times.

I think it's the number of ships,there's just too many on the battle map at one time.
It's okay though,i'm going to start work on a levels version of the demo.By the way,i think i figured out how to make
the enemy shoot bak!All youy need to do is reverse the cordinites the way you used them to make that event act as the laser
instead of a battle animation.use the hero's X and Y,just like you used the enemies X and Y cordinites,see what i mean?
By the way,I lthiought the hud was awesome!The claws we'll keep,i liked them too.I'm working on a way to make the laser
fire twice,got any ideas?

Actually, on when I started working, I was planning on making it so you can fire the laser three times at once, but it was just too complicated. For some reason, the same common event can run again once it's already running. To make multiple lasers, you'll just have to make anoter laser event on the map first, and also a new common event for each one. Turn each laser on with the flip of a switch, like: Laser 2, or Laser 3. THis would also mean that for EVERY enemy, you'll have to script them to get hurt for each of the laser switches, as well as have more variables for their X, and Y cordinates. It's alot of work.
Also, If you want to know how to make enemies fire projectiles back at the hero, then you can always open up my game. I made some enemies that fire back at the hero over at the cave battle field. I think your idea of using cordinates again will work, but a more simpler way would just make anoter event for the enemie's lasers, and have a "collision" will hero whenever they shoot it. So feel free to check out my game again if you want to see how I made it. (But making all six ships be able to shoot lasers back at you? Wouldn't that like, be a crazy barrage of lasers everywhere? It does sound fun, but also kinda difficult...)

Oh,ok,that sounds much simpler than what I i was thinking,you're very good at this coding thing.
Okay i'm having trouble understanding hom you make the laser come to the front of the ship
part..can you show me a small tutorial on how you did that part?

Well, first of all, if you want each ship to be able to do two things, close range attack, and shoot projectiles, then you're going to need a new variable for each of the enemies. Since there's six, you're going to need six variables, (unless you want to lower that number or something.) You can call it: "Enemy 1 Choice", "Enemy 2 Choice" and so on, because it's their random choice on how to attack. That means on the the enemie's attack page, you have to simply add: "If variable, Enmy 1 choice, is equal to zero. That would be when they will try to close combat you. Add a new page, it should look like this:

That will be their projectile page. It has to be on parrallel process. It shows that the enemy will move away from the hero first, to gain some distance to shoot and then face the hero. (Only because I didn't like the idea of shooting point blank) A wait command to let the event move before continuing on the script, And you can even add a little sound effect to make it a bit fancy. I then recorded the foe's X, and Y, cordinat into variables, so I would know where to teleport their blast to (Oh, and you need to make another event that's going to be the laser, by the way.) The switch Temp 1 will make the blast visable, and also so it can hit the hero (Make sure for each individual laser, they all have their own switch that turns them on) Then I teleport the blast, Which I called Anima 1, to the X, and Y, cordinates of the foe. The move event is just so that the laser will face you, but sometimes it tends to make the laser bend in certain directions... maybe the "move forward" command isn't nessicary, and also prevent the bending of the blasts. Anyway, a wait event for it to finish facing the hero.
And then I just move the blast forward. I set a timer for how long the blast should be, like one second, and then I turn the switch that activates it off.
Now, for all the other little stuff. In your map, you're also going to need another event that's a parrallel process, that alternates the Enemy choice variables from one, to zero. Simply two pages, and they switch the variable after a certain wait time.
Also, sometimes the script gets messed up, and the switch for the blast still stays on. To fix this, you're going to need another parrallel process event on the map, that turns on only if the laser's switch is on. And make it say that after, say, two seconds, it turns the switch off, so the laster won't be move infinatly.
Also, don't forget that you will have to do the calculation of the damage on the laser event, not the enemy. What I showed above is how to make the enemy intiate the blast. The effecs of it will have to be on the laser itself, so that it will take place only IF it collides with the hero.
Sorry for any confusions, but things like this can get to be very complex. I hope you understood everything I said.

Yes please! I'm only a little bit good at coding.I mostly make my own systems and then customize them
latter. In fact in high shcool I was so lazy I made a new form of math just to get out
of doing it the teachers way.

Okay, I did say that I'd give it out on Monday, but I had some free time today, so I though, might as well. I finished it within, like, fifteen minutes yesterday, and uploading something as small as this takes only a couple of seconds, so yeah. Here it is:

Now the enemies get to shoot back at you! I played it, and it definatly makes it a bit more difficult, but very fun! I also made it so that if an enemy is shooting at you, you can actually disperse the laser by attacking with your grappling arms, so that might be cool. I made the time thing different for all enemies, so they will all basically shoot on their own accord, and not at the same time as everyone else.

I downloaded the one with the enemies shooting I like it just got two complains:
1) When two enemy bullets collide they freeze for a moment before they disappear.
2) The ships can shoot in all directions. I guess this is a matter of opinion but I think looked better if they just shoot in the direction they are facing.
Other then that good work Muraiko.

I tried both demos, and I am impressed. Great work you two, can't wait for the full version to be complete. Also, going along with what Red Fox said, when an enemy bullet collides with my bullet, or another enemy's bullet, they stall out, nothing major though.

A racing system? I really never attempted something like that before, but perhaps I can give it a try. I might need to think of some ideas on how to do it first.

Now make a parralel process event that checks the X and Y of both racers and records them in variables. Now make another PP event that checks if the X and Y of the ships are the same as the X & Y of the finish line. If so, make some sort of event like a message box saying you won or something to that effect.

I guess using steps would work for the other racers, but I'm not so sure if I like the idea of having to do "move event" and input the entire path the other racers will go... kinda too much work... but I'll see what else can be done.

Okay here are some ships that are availible in the game. The First one was found by Lonewolf. The YT-1930 and
the Firepray were made by Redfox, isn't he awesome? THe Shutle and YT-2400 were made by me.

Yeah, its needs a little color. When you get time you should. I might have to throw out the change
the color sys. Just becuase this isn't all of them.
The game should have these ships as well: YT-2000, Corelian Corvette, Sororsuub star Yacht and the two secret ones which I can't tell you about except that one of them is from Star Gate. The problem is finding some one to draw them. you've been helping me as best you can Red and it's apreceaite it, but you have stuff you need to do as well. So I need to find another artist..Just to take the pressure of you and me. Maybe Ed could
after he finishes that boat for me.

They all look damn sexy. I only have one complaint... I think the YT-2400 should have a more definitive outline, like the rest of them. Right now, the lack of such outline makes it stand out a bit.

yeah, i keep running out of ammo, then dying, cause the claw is so difficult to kill stuff with.. I think the claw should do more damage than the bullets, to balance it out a bit.

Yeah, I'm thinking of a way to display the ammo, but it could be kinda difficult because there really is no limit to how much you can hold, so I can't really use bars, or gauges. I'm thinking of it actually being a number on the screen somewhere, that says teh ammount of ammo you have, using pictures. I'll see what can be done about that.

Actually... claws and teh gun do the same dammage... (o_0)
Only because I was kinda too lazy to make another statistic for each one individually... But I could still make the claws more stronger than the gun, if I just change the events page of claw attack to like, double the damage or something.

Yeah, I'm thinking of a way to display the ammo, but it could be kinda difficult because there really is no limit to how much you can hold, so I can't really use bars, or gauges. I'm thinking of it actually being a number on the screen somewhere, that says teh ammount of ammo you have, using pictures. I'll see what can be done about that.
Actouly if you've played rougue galaxy on the PS2 you could use that kind of amo gauge.

I've played rogue galaxy before, and I think I know what you're talking about. That one blue bar that depletes when you're attacking and stuff, right? But, I think that's their way to prevent button mashing, while I just use overheating. So they would be kind of the same, not to menstion that you would have an infinate amount of ammo, and won't have to buy any.
I guess, maybe there could be a limit to how much you hold, and then making a gauge to moniter how much ammo you have would be very simple to make. If you want me to work on it again, then feel free to PM me the game, and I'll just add it on.
Not sure what tracor beams or ion cannons are... Are they star wars stuff?

Yes, all you have to do is provide the details or a chara set and select a ship.
Oh yeah forgot to mention you can also have custom colors if you wish to be a random encounter in space battles. So go ahead and send me those details and i'll cutomize you a ship.

Um..I can't rember where the page is where everybody thought the villian was going to be Gemini and I told them that it was going to be Al Gore. Also I think Al gore is a foney because he flies around in a priviate jet
and tells everybody to cut back and go green when he himself doesn't do it. His house eats up like 40,000$

Yeah, just be careful how you use it because sometimes using fan characters can ruin the game if they are just random.

I've played the ABS demo and it looks really good. Theres just somthign that gets me a little. The enemy ships just ram you and hurt you... shouldn't they shoot you? Oh, and shouldn't it hurt thier shields as well when they ram you? Do they have shields? But other than that I like the shields idea and everything.

They don't "ram" you. I was just... kinda lazy to make a different charaset of them in close-range attack position...
And they DO shoot. They all have the option of either close combat attacking, or ranged attacking. Did you play the wrong one?

Pillow shading is when you layer shades so it's darker at the edges and light in the middle regardless of the light source.

A little bit of news, I might be releasing a actaul demo. However I must warn that's its realy short. There will only be about seven maps with one ABS battle. It won't even be a chapter, but i can release it within a few days, i'm confident. I know you all are realy eager to play it. So it's up to you, do you want a short demo, or do you want me to work another two of three weeks?

I wouldn't mind waiting for the demo. Besides, it's always good to keep in mind where the demo ends. Usualy, I'd say good games end the demo right in the middle of a crisis, or a big event, leaving the player saying, "What's going to happen next?" so then they'll want the play the rest of the game once it comes out!
By the way, once my character comes into the story line, remember to make me act like a bratty little kid! You know, overconfident, bragging, and stuff like that. (Also, in my faceset, my eyes are brown, not green.)

Okay, been a while since I last updated this, but Intheshadow's coment's have made me feel good enough to to post somthing. So here's a preveiw of what the ship cutomization screen should look like.

The First row is for weapons. The number of solts you can have depends on what you fly in the game. This an example of my ship: The Loyal Dewback. The second solt is for you drive engines and other augments for that sort of thing. The third is for Shields and other extras that do specail stuff. Such as the cloaking device wich allows you to dissiapiar and evade your enemies without getting shot at. ;)

Thanks! As soon as i'm better i'm going to get back to work, but for now, i'm not working on anything until I heal a little. Oh what do you think of this? From now on, R2-R4 can only be healed and revied with special iteims. For example: Let's say he get's K.O.ed and you try to use a Stardust Vial on him, but it won't work. You instead need to use a Reboot Circut. The only deffrence is it's a little more expensive. Do you think that's going a little overboard?

If not, then possibly.
You could also do a recharge event, in which you can wait/walk a while, and he'll be healed. The circuit could be for an instant reboot.

It'll make the game alot more strategic, where you can't just always rely on the same items to heal everyone. I'd say just make counter part items of all the healing medicines, and just rename them robot stuff. So, he'll have his own set of recovery tools.
(Cause I remember, while playing the game Rouge Galaxy, whenever I found a shop, I just bought as much potions that I could hold, cause they were so cheap, healed so much, and worked for everyone. That made the the game stupendidly easy!)

The normal battle system is DBS with some custom systems, and the ship to ship battle sytem is a ABS.

I did....I made a working CMS!! mwa ha ha ha! Okay now that my power trips over allow me to explain why this is a good thing:
1: You can now see item and posibly equipment as "Icons" instead of just words, which should add a alot of creatiavity to the game.
2: It allows me to make as many Armor and Assecory solts as I like. That's right I can have more than the standard four or five.
I'm also working on a feuture that makes enemy ships go berserk and move randomy while shooting at you. This adds some diffacutly to to Ship to Ship battles.
By the way does anyone know where I can find some of that soft ware that allows you to make vidoes of your game?

The planet was named Mandalore after this leader, and the Taung themselves started referring to themselves as "Mandalorians" in his honor.
Good news is the CMS item icons work! Bad news is, i'll have to make acustom shopping system to support it. Never fret, I shall persevere just like the Mandalorians themselves did. Another anoucement to make, it seems i've discovered a new way to "place" an item anywhare in your personal living quarters on your ship. I'm adding this as a custom system. More profiles tonight including Phayre's, Jack's and Muraiko's finialy revealed.

Indeed. I'll need to make some decoration for the interior cabins and make a new shop on Charasia and other planets for decorations. So far the shops you can visit are:
Trade Goods: You can buy many diffrent items from here ranging from medical suplies to clothing.
Droid Repair shop: This is where you go to but weapon and upgrade packs specifaily for R2-R4. You can also purchase new droids (Maybe if I find some new droid sprites that is).
Dune Runner's one stop Starship shop : This is where you go to buy new Starships and weapons from Moxi and his asociates (Adding Moxi's profile to the others tonight).
Traveling Shops: These shops apear in areas like dungeons and the such and sell a variety of stuff.

That's a feuture in Legondo Rising, so I suspose I could modify the Datapad to use an "Online Shoping" feuture like I have in LR, but I realy don't want to borow to many feutures from that game otherwise it'll be like playing a diffrent game with the same feutures, which isn't any fun. I'd love to. You see there are these sacred stones in LR's lore that hold the power of Sygertic Esence (the source of Magic in thier world). Long ago the beings of higher power of thier world divided the Elements of Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Ice, Balance and Chaos into seprate shards. No one knows why. Some sepculate that the gods were testing man's will. Others say that an evil being sought to destroy the shards and thus the wolrd, although these pepole usauly are promptly locked luantic asylems (Hicthhiker's moment Lol).
In the game when a shard is equiped to a character they become sybiotes and share thier Synergy. In addtion when a point Synergy is consumed consumed the gem gains EXP and when enough is gained a new skill is bestowed to the hero equiped with it. Kind of like FF6's espers, execpt you don't get a sumon for each gem stone you find. More detail will be added once it's finished and LR has it's own game thread.

ahhhh almost like final fantasy 9 then when you equip something you have to raise the experience of the item and you learn the move... yours is slightly different but still good. I thought it was just basic leveling experience that was different but its the skillz! haha cuz my character level differently in my game so i wanted to see what you had as an idea as well =P

First off I laughed my *** off after reading everthing you all replied with and I'm so glad I have such good freinds who want to deffend my work. ;D Second I have a little difficuly with spelling for sevral reasons, most of which are my fault. I dropped out of spelling back in home school cuase I was young and thought I didn't need it. Second my brother is Dyslesic and there is a tiny vchance I have it too. Second: Take a look a what you just wrote and what I just typed up. Notice the ones in red? The're errors. You also captialized Spelling, but it's not that important of a word. Always pratice what you preach. :D Now just so there's not any hard feeling between us, here's somthing you can use in your game, I made it for last night.

I think it matches you charas very well and, provided you are just a little more senitive to other members with disiabilities, I might volunteer to make every you need in your game in this style. The sprite itslef is an edit of Goborimon or Goblimon from a Digimon fan game I was making. Unfurtunetly I was modifeing said game's name and acedently deleted it permanetly from Rm2k3! The worst part is a I deleted the back up because it was out of date compared to the original. But on the bright side I'm having good luck making custom chara sets for it. I could use I little help with the edited one I made, if you want to help just say so or PM me.
Okay on to Warped. I realized today that I've been going about making the City of Charasia the wrong way. I've been trying to make Corusant, which is covered with city, where I should have made a Floating Island for the city. What do you think? Maybe you have your own ideas? Also does any one have a chipset of the Charas Pub or somthing like it? Thanks for your help. Well back to making action figures. Fisherson Awaaaaaaaaaaaay! *Flies off into the sunset*

Thanks, Ed! I worked realy hard on it. I fogort to metion that when Jack attacks his botom most comand is replaced with a radom one that may be more powerfull than attack or could inflict damage or bad status on the party. I got the Idea from you being the King of Random when I frst met you.

She managed to raise an army of followers and assult the palace and corner the emporer, but the crafty Emporer used Pahyre's mother and father as human shields and told her if she wanted to save Charisia she'd have to kill her parents to it. Bluhman however knew Phayre couldn't kill her own flesh and blood, not even to save millions, so he took the shot killing both the emporer and her parents.Pahyre took over the Emperor's spot as Leader of Charisia and made Bluhamn Comander of Deffense.

Quark offten is mistaked for a clown with the way acts around his minions, but don't let his qaint nature fool you, he's a big green ogre-like thing with a plan.

Race: human
Homeworld: Kolas
Age: 18
Talents: Dark Side powers and his Lavanrok disc launcher.
Weapon: Sith disk launcher.
Back Story: Laith was found by Darth Katarn after Jedi War. He was abandoned on the moon of Elendar as baby. Katarn raised the boy as his own and gave him the name Jenjidai which only he and Varanus know the meaning of. Laith thinks of the various Dark Jedi who are part of the Dark Order as his family and the Dark Side as somthing normal.
These will have facesets, I just haven't done any of rmy Sith characters and I'll post Phayre's when I add it to the Character Bios section.

Lol I do seem to have a talent for making characters, but I owe it all to my encouraging mom, the Star Wars book series and Phayre and Bluhman's guides to Characters and Cliches.

Okay may have ran into a small problem. You see whenever R2-R4 is speaking the measage looks somthing what like this:
David: It look's like a holocron what do you think, Rusty>
R2-R4: Beep ,doodle ,beep bop.
During the measage it plays a sound effect to simulate the souns Rusty makes. Whould that be anoying?

Yeah, that'll be a good idea. You see, the size of the script to show the money on screen will depend soley on how many digets you can hold at once. Of course, by default, you can have like seven digets, so that'll be a super long script (Because I'll have to script conditionals for every single number possible on each didget, 0-9...)
So, my suggestion would be to have a maximum amount of money you can hold in your pocket, like 9999, and have a bank system, so you can hold more. Scripting conditionals for only four didgets shouldn't be too hard, compared to seven that is.
sorry for the tight criteria, but it's only for the sake of my own brain from exploding...

In the mean time I thought i'd show you all a list of some of teh planets that apear in thoughout the game.
Xia Lan: A planet outside Federation borders contorled by the local Kiowa tribe. The planet is covered in forest terran with tall mountains that are thought to be rich in Dalenium solfide, a type of gas used in the production of Starship coolent.
Charisia: The homeworld of the Federation. Central City, the Federation's main base, is located on a floating island hundreds of miles above the surface of the planet. The old Jedi Temple, which was destroyed from space by Sith battle ships, is located on near the Controll Tower in the middle of the island.
Golanda: While the rest of the galaxy has been busy with star travel, Golanda has been stuck in the Dark Ages, literly. Golanda has no Space Port and all technolgy is seen as whichcraft and is punishible by death. The world is composed of several countries who are always at each others thoats because of the shortage of land.
Phlos: Phyos is an odd duck among brotthers in the stars. Most planets have very little water on them and vast amouts of land, but this planet is nearly covered in water. What land there is to be found on this world is small to medium sized tropical islands. The world is infamous for Piriates. As piriates controll the world it belongs to the Crimelord Sydicate and is not in Federation borders.
Tempus 7: A windblown planet within Federation space. Tempus 7 is famous for it's artworks and soceity. The world it's self is frequent to sudden windstorms and tornados.
Osion: Osion is nick named "the Factory Planet" for the fact that it is covered in factories that make everything from footwear to star cuissers. The planet was purchased by Quark Zolon CEO of Galaitca Inc. who are resposible for making nearly everthing the galaxy needs.
Kial: A dessert world and home of the Crimelord Syndicate. Despite the fact the world is nothing but wastelands and endless desserts, it has a lagger city than Charasia.
More will be added latter.

Just make a .rar archive of the numbers you want to use in just pictures not charsets. And please give me a list of 8 free variables you are currently not using in your game fish. I have some numbers of would my own if you would like me to use them.
Oh and if you want some sort picture of your currency to be beside of your cash amount then send that as well.

Okay before i tell you all about the updates I have some minor bad news to tell you all about. When i got my new computer I stored all my RPG maker games in a winrar file then transferred it to my portable flash drive. When I went to open it it said it couldn't support some of my files. So long story short I'm going to have to go get my old computer out and re-hook it up. No big deal, but it means I can't get back to work on the FCG (Fisherson's Chain Game) until tomorrow. In the mean time I'll just tell you about the good news.
The biggest piece of news is Detours.
Detours are objects on the map (I'll post an example of the galaxy map latter on) like planets, but unlike a planet a detour almost never has anything to do with your overall mission of ridding the galaxy of evil. There are multiple types of detours. detours usually look like a field of asteroids, other starships and nebulas and other galactic anomalies. Detours functions vary. Some can be space dungeons littered with space monsters and some can be a place to rest and rejuvenate just like a planet, but smaller. some detours collide with you and transport you to a seprate map where you must fend for you life while trying to find the exit, these usually have an unlockable part or ship hidden in them and well worth the effort to deffeat. Some detours serve no purpose but look pretty or have a hidden function you can't see at fist.
More updates tomorrow and maybe an example of the Galactic map and a list of some of the unique alien races tha inhabit the game.

I didn't go up to my shed just yet, but I should have all my old data ,hopefully, by tomorrow. So no map today, but I can tell you about some of the races of Warped.
As a few of you know, we are not alone in the universe. In the galaxy of Warped you would be flagged for even thinking we are alone. In fact there are so many species in this galaxy that if wrote them all out it by class would take a very long time to explain them all. So I'm going to just talk about the most common folk you'll see in the first demo. They are:
(I'm going to Skip humans as we all know what a human is.)
Phylothan:
Planet: Phyos
Alliance: Federation
A Phylothan is a marine creature that has learned to walk on land. Phylothans are a conserved raced and most don't like to interact with other species, making them appear Xenophobic. This is not the case with some and few have even become space explorers. Phylothans may breathe air, but they can also breathe under water using their gills. Skin color varies but is gernary a shade of blue or green most commonly.
Wargl:
Planet: Various
Alliance: Unknown (Most live on Kial in the Illegal Space sector)
Wargl are Canine-like humanoid race that is rarely seen in the galaxy anymore since the Jedi War. During the Jedi War the Wargl were a mighty government under one banner and openly supported the Federation in the war against the Dark Alliance lead by Darth Varanus. In the end this cost them their home world when a Jedi from their world fought the villain aboard the Iris battle station. When the Sith lord thought he was going to be struck down he threatened to use the weapon to destroy the young Jedi's home world. The young Wargl pressed his luck and tried to subdue Varanus, but was over powered and the battle station ended up descending into the atmosphere of the the planet Jajmeir (Yaj-Meer) and exploded after crashing into the surface and setting off a chain of events that made the planet un livable. Those who could escape the planet in time now live as nomads, traveling in hopes of finding a new world to call home.

Hey, Warpamaniacs, guess what? The orginal copy of Warped Uiwas working on is now in that place where all deleted programs go. :’(
You see I decided I needed a new computer since mine was realy old and starting to slow down, so I worked a little and my mom quilted some quilts and I had enough money to buy it (Yay!). Then I remembered my CD burner didn't work so I went out and baught a flash drive and transerfered all the data from the computer to a rar file and saved it onto the drive. Then when I plugged into mine it said it was deleted! It's okay since I still have my old PC and it still works and all but I can’t use it because the mouse doesn’t work and I realy don’t have the money to buy a new one. However the STS is still working so I’m not giving up I’ll redo Warped all the way from the beginning if I have to. Oh yeah it also means that i'll have to redo the FCG (Fisherson's Cain game) and Legondo Rising too.

Good news: I have a lot of my resources.
Bad news: I'm missing a few custom ones and all my battle charas execpt for David and Rusty (but I was going to do them over becuase they didn't macth up with the style of the game any way). I'm going to remake the folder tomorrow if I can download that file from Rapidshare and it stops giving me that error.

Well Right now I need to get my charas and battlers back, think you can make a few sprite sized battlers using the info I give you? That would help me greatly.
Okay folks I've got a new folder, but no STS at the moment, but it's not a real problem since I need to remake all of my battlers and get some chara set before I can do any work. But a good friend of mine has given me about a 120 bucks worth of music to help inspire me, most of Disturbed including two full albums. :D Speaking of music I'm going to be using regular game music for now until I get Dren or somebody to make me some good tracks. Now if only i kick my spore adiction so I could get some work done! XD

If you were to somehow add an overlay it would help blend the contrasting tiles. Some of the perspective seem a little off.

The space screens are good....but also, a bit of an overlay with some purple mist at a low transperancy would help things along as well.

Mucho better. What I meant by boobs is that the map needs more irregularity and more of a third dimension. One bit of advice for you: NEVER USE RECTANGLES. Just act like you don't have a rectangle tool, and you'll know how much time you need to spend on a realistic map. Two bleh points are that that save point or whatever it is and that ship don't match the rest, and the base of the save point has a weird perspective bug at the bottom. Remember to draw things as you see them, not as you think of them. Forget that the bottom is flat, because then you'll think there should only be one edge. The waterfall should also have a splash at the bottom, and some mud next to the river. There should also be fish or some kind of wildlife if this is a real forest.

Definatly looks like you're improving since the old screen shots. You should probably add a sort of "foaming" effect at the bottom of the waterfall though, because it looks weird if water just falls so cleanly into the lake below like that.

Wow! I love them! Could you edit some of the one's Jet made to look like that? it'd allow the player to know if they were actually doing any damage to the enemy ship or not. That'd be one awesome feature.

Lowbaca killed his good twin Chewbaca and then deceived Han Solo to fly into an asteroid belt.
He then acted as Jaina Solo's legal guardian after Han's death and did nasteh' things to her.
She ended up killing herself and Lowbaca succeed in creating a time paradox.
Upon returning to his present he realized that David Dent had taken Jaina Solo's place as a world-saver.
And thanks to Jaina's death she never saved the clever man who decided to build a time machine for her sake.
And therefore - Lowbaca is now stuck in a present much worse than before and he can't return.

Okay progress report: I need some time to get reused to Warped touch encounter system and fix a mysterious bug that's about to make me bang my face on this keyboard >_o and then I'll get on to the hard part....the first ABS boss. Okay next update will be in few days if I get time....Man I hate being Gardener

Okay I know I said there'd be montly updates, but I need a favor right now. See there's this tiny, ity bity realy fliping anoying glitch that is distracting me while I'm working. I have an Midi that keeps playing no matter what map I'm on, and I can't find it in the common events or any of the maps, so....anyone know what I can do to get rid of it?

Does it play in the Editor too? Check the music player on the map editor screen. That's all I can think of.

No it doesn't. Only when I test play on a map. :/ Until it's fixed, no more work can go on...I'm odd, I need a certain vibe to work and this Midi isn't it. Weirdly it's the battle theme for the ABS battles. O.o

Try deleting the midi, but make a backup just in case deleting it causes instability issues so you can put it back and try to solve the problem another way if need be.

I'll try but it was one of the RTP ones, it's from the first STS, as I never realy found a good battle midi. ^ ^;; I'll go try to blast it out of the system.

Okay time for the Monthly update:
I've been looking over Stu's character design and decided maybe to change it from "no job class" to Battle Medic. After all it's bad enough he's Moogle XD (What the heck was I thinking? o.o ) I mean, most starting party's need a healer of some kind and David won't learn that ability till way latter, maybe not even in this demo. Also I'm thinking of contracting someone out to make special chipset I want for the first demo I can't find. Also I have to ask you all... Does it matter to you what a weapon's graphic looks like? I originally wanted to mod the traditional weapons system for Sprite sized charas, so I made similar weapons, but a recent discovery made me realize, using battle animations I can churn out good battlers faster than doing it normally (using the three frame system) Now I can one of two ways here:
1: Use my originally idea, having unique weapons that change graphics every time you purchase a new one. With this one I can include at most of the Lightsaber disciplines. Which means Light Whips,Light Laces or Light Chucks and ect. Aslo you can change the color of the blade.
2: Use battle animation weapons. Which would have one graphic no matter what you bought, but could be extended to do amazing combos and unique animations. Only one lightsaber discipline can be used in this form. But not extra sabers and no color change option.

I personally like animation weapons better. It just looks better to do whatever attack you want instead of just forcing all characters to the same "single slash attack", regardless of having the same weapon IMO.

I see well the deadline is next Sunday, since I should have all those battlers done....heh heh I love Battle Animation battlers ^ ^ They are soooo much quicker than the old fashioned kind.

Okay folks. Thanks for the info, I can finaly get started on the battlers. Speaking of them. Somthing about Stu has been bugging me. His nakedness, it just don't fit in a sci-fi RPG, I mean even premative ewoks had clothes. So I figured even a moogle would. So let me show you a preview of the outfit Im thinking of using.

Wrong game XD But maybe I could fit in a little lab mouse as an useful NPC. Or if you have a better rep or OC there are still worlds without important characters or empty boss slots and things. By the way, did you like the outfit? It's a WIP and the first RPG maker moogle outfit I've seen.

XD I have no clue. It's not realy interesting to see nude pics in a RPG maker game, let alone any video game realy...I mean who wants to see 16 bit sex?....Oh wait. I forgot the Archem Factor. >.>

It looks really good in my opinion. Though it has a sort of "Adventurer" feel to it, rather than a "Medic", but I personally think it's better this way.
If all characters "looked" like whatever job they are supposed to be, it would be less creative and original, I think. You should keep him this way.

This style was based sorta on what a Co-pilot is suposed to wear/KHish multi purpose outfit. Only the "cross" on his shirt it ment to indentify him as a medic.

Thanks, I will. Now....For a disapline. Originaly I was thinking of using long ranged weapons, but Lonewolf and Muraiko have those covered. So I wonder what desipline I should go with? O.o Guess it's time for another poll XD

Okay a little bit of good news for me ,and anyone else who's waiting on this project, today! ^ ^ I was looking at a few of my old CDs and guess what I found? All of the battlers I made for Warped! XD Lonewolf's,David's new and old,Rusty and even Stu's. This will cut the amount of spriting I have to do in half at least! O.o And of course you know that that means. Less spriting=more time to actually work on the demo. ;) Okay...May have some screens for you if this works out. ........ Wow....I just realized I have over 18,000 views on this page. o.o

Okay....I know this update is a little late, but I've been busy. -__-; No new screens sadly, as I just realized some of my maping needs re-working. Now as for what I've doen so far:
Fixed Stu's charaset (Thanks Muraiko for telling me about that)
Working on some charasets
Found my old system set! ^o^ I love the look of that thing.
Re-made David's battler
Stuff that needs to be done:
Re-make Rusty's battler
Get Rusty's chara remade so it can pose propelry.
Re-make stu's battler
Decide on a weapon for Stu's battler ^ ^;
Make basic posses David,Rusty and Stu.
Test TES system in battle.
Program first ABS boss
Well I hope that counts as an update. Next one soon if my maping goes well.
