How to make an Old RPGM 2003 project usable with the new Offical steam version?

Hey, I tried to open the project in the new maker but it's not working! Then I went back to open it with the old maker and it's not working either??!
How to make an Old RPGM 2003 project useable with the new Offical steam version?
This is a question many of us have asked ourselves and the answer is apparently divided into two parts:
1. Are you using any unofficial addons in your project? Such as DYNRPG or such? If yes, then you need to wait for events to transpire a bit longer
2. Are you using any of the RTP in your project? The answer is most likely yes. Because it's loaded with useful charsets, animations and soundfiles.
So how do you fix this? Well, I dug around a little and found 3 ways: 1 easy but lazy way 1 working and semi-time consuming and 1 more tedious way.
A: you copy all the RTP from the old RTP folder into the new RTP folder. That way all the files that the old project is referring to will be found again.
So what's the catch? Well, that will only work for you unless you include all your resources. Also, you will have twice the amount of everything. And removing the new RTP will make every new project completely blank because those files can't be found
B: Much like the above, you are missing some resources in your project but you are too lazy to change it manually. Do not fear, there is another way, not quite as simple as the above though. What you do is that you use the import tool to import the missing files from the RTP folder. This means that your project will have these files added to them but not the RTP itself. However, this means that you will have to import every file you used in the project. Yet not quite as frustrating as the option below.
C: So you are willing to sacrifice your time to do this the proper way? Kudos to you.
So, what you need to do is to enter the maker of your project and change all the RTP used resources to the new version.
Yes, this is tedious. I kinda warned you.
I'll try to compile some sort of list of what the different files are called now so you can easily find them if needed. Just note that you will have to change every event and such where you play a sound effect as well if it's missing.
Cheers

hmm I think like this:
A: would be a bad Idea, since it wouldn't run on other computers properly... meddling around with the RTP files would end up for the project to be not playable for people, who don't have the same "custom" RTP (except, you want to include it in the installer)
B: Can be done a little easier, just copy all the files in the folders (music, animations, etc.) and paste them into your games folders, the import function is not necessary for the RTP files, since they are already configured for the maker, the import function should rather be used for all files, that are not RTP related.
C: I'd rather go with B...
I did, what I said in B and my game runs on every Computer, I just opened it with the new maker, so it would fix the old bugs (especially for Linux computers). I did all the copy&paste before, doesn't make a difference if you'd do it after though. Works fine and wasn't too hard.
