Let's try this again...
« on: February 17, 2006, 10:33:45 PM »
Here's a few quotes from the last time I talked about my game:
"Don't make a game if it has ******* Sailor Moon in it!"

"You're game is teh suckzors"

"Don't listen to these people--tell me more about this, 'Sailor-Sephiroth' game..."

" I liked it better before your explanation"

"ADRIAAAAAAANNN!!!!!"

So, I'm prepared this time--I know, many people didn't like it, many peope did, and a few were skeptic. I'm still making it, though, but something has come to my attention...

...See, when the game begins, it's about six months into Djean-Karlo's training as a Solar Boy, as it is for Gerard and Lui G., and 'D'. I was thinking, "There are a lot of references to a time before this game. Also...shouldn't some of their training be seen? Also, wouldn't people be curious about how Djean-Karlo met the Get Backers, and such?"

At this point, I have reached a desicion: Either make a game explaining all that, or put that stuff into the beginning. I'm leaning onto making it a separate game.

It's like this: It's wa-a-a-ay before Akiko is even  mentioned, or Beryl even knows that Djean-Karlo exists, it's before Gerard and Lui G. master the Hadou-Ken, and before "D"...becomes a different "D". However, it's not just another twenty minutes--it's a whole 'nother game, with it's own bosses, and three (minimally) intertwining stories (remember, each of those three friends are in different parts of the world).

For Djean-Karlo, he'll be fighting off an invasion of Immortals that comes out from no--where (and meets his girlfriend in the process). For Gerard and Lui G., they'll be fighting off other Street Fighters, like Chun Li, Balrog, and...Kasumi (surprise surprise! lol) For "D", it means slaying quite a few marauding demons that are in on Dracula's and Lilith's plans.

So, what do you all think?

...So, like, what? I mean, the guy says 'lol' and the other says "                               ", meaning....you guys still hate the idea or something? Just come on out and say it, then! It's not like there's anything else people can say about it.

Oh. Well, anyway, I thought you were talking about my game.
Still, any opinions?

Finish this one, then do the prelude in another game. Better that way. Get the first one done faster.
