Importing Image Size Problem
« on: December 16, 2007, 03:20:24 AM »
So, I checked the Help file, it says that a monster image can be:

Quote

(11) Monster Graphics

Folder: Monster

Image size: 16 to 240x16 to 240

·   A monster graphic is composed of a single image.

My Image is 214x152 and it keeps giving me the Invalid Image size error.

This is impeding my progress with the chain game =p.

Here is the Image:

I think they are refering to the files size if that messege pops up. Just decrease the colour depth and it should solve itself.

But what do I know? Just manually put it into the project's monster folder otherwise.

Manually putting it in the Project folder wont effect the game
If other people play it, will it?

I dunno. The color depth is set at 256 already so...

I guess I can try manually putting the file in.

EDIT: Here is the updated monster file, can someone set the black to transparent?  There is going to be black around the monster so, don't worry about that.  Because I'm putting it in manually, the monster doesn't have a transparent background. O_o.  It looks very... bad like that.

I think the black is the transparent layer...

If I'm incorrect, than you can use this one...
I've resized it.

There are two colors of black in the image, on of which is transparent, the other one surrounds the monster.

I'll try this one.

The black that is surrounding the monster  Is the first color on the pallet which should be the transparent color...

I don't know why It wouldn't be transparent if you place it in the monster folder manually. But I've tested my Version. It doesn't look too far off from the first and it's size is accepted.

You could try exporting an rtp monster and using that colour...?

Alternatively, somewhere it said that the transparent colour for monsters is

Red:255
Green:0
Blue:0

the color is different for each,
Its whatever color is the first one in the pallet.
Which it is, except for mine.
but mine is the right size so you don't need a transparent color, Just click on the black when your Importing it.

Its only slightly smaller, but Rm2k/3 Accepts it. I don't know what the big deal is..

(And if you export another monster and paste this one over it than it will have to have the exact same colors as this one or there will be a color loss.)
