Seems good, and it hopefully will be good for local multiplayer. For some strange reason, I'm picturing a fighting game with combo lists on the controller and the actual game happening on the screen.

Oh, and is it tablet shaped on the back, too? They really should put a grip.

No, it's more controller-shaped. Nintendo seems to have started with a controller, then moved on to a tablet. If they started with a tablet, we might have been in trouble.

Really, it all seems like the multiplayer mode of Final fantasy crystal chronicles when you had to get your GBA connected to the GC. You had your menues and the mini map on the GBA and used it to control your character. The rest of the game just continued for the others when you were looking for the materials you needed for that sword.

People are all entitled to their own opinion, but I think it looks ****ing SWEET!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy at the abundance of third-party support. Assassin's Creed, Tekken (for the
first ever time), Darksiders II, Ghost Recon, etc. It's gonna be a grand opening. It's about time
Nintendo jumped onto that boat! I'm just worried about how much the console and controller are
gonna cost. It's like a gaming PC powered by an iPad. A Luxurious concept, but probably very
pricey indeed!

Just an odd concern: The Wii U is due Winter 2012, but all those third-party games are set to release this year. The game's are going to be there, but they'll be year-old ports by that time. Also concerned that it'll be an early-launch repeat of the Wii, where the tech is from the previous generation, and is due to fall by the wayside once the other consoles show up. It looks like it's got some power behind it, but I'm not seeing anything that isn't possible on the current generation "HD" consoles.

@Archem: Y'know, I thought about the same thing. However, despite the games being a year old around that time, Sony has previously stated that they are not going to release a new console after the PS3, and unless some new, super-advanced technology is developed, I don't see them changing their minds. Microsoft MIGHT look into new technology (let's face it, the 360 IS powerful, but not as powerful as the PS3), but they're still on a Kinect high, and I don't see them coming down from that for some time either. I'm also fairly sure that the Wii U will have some launch titles that aren't just rehashed ports. I mean, developers have a year and a half to get projects together. Let's give them until next E3 before we make this "falling to the wayside" prediction.

I don't give 2 craps about a new console. Just give me some goddamn good games already.
Yes. I've been a Nintendo Fanboy since the SNES, but even I need to draw the line somewhere. I'm going to be game-centric on this one. I'm not touching the thing until they have at least 3 games I really gotta get.
