The pope
« on: April 27, 2005, 11:04:43 AM »
I don't know if anyone has made a topic/heard about it but the pope was one of Hitler's Jugend back in the 30's/40's. I thought this would make an interesting discussion.

to talk about this is pure nonsence, every boy was forced to be part of it,...

so it doesn't do any matter to me

You weren't forced, believe me, I know my history. Every one that joined, wasn't forced. But at that time it looked good to be of Hitler's Jugend, if they only knew, it would probably haven't happend.

Drace, unless you were around then, I wouldn't be so sure of yourself, Hitler was a horible man and he probably did force people one way or another.

Hitler was seen as a hero, after all, he WAS elected. Many people were scared of Communism and that was one of the things Hitler defended against. Therefore, anyone willing to fight for a just cause would sign up.

They didn't know what Hitler would do with the Jews, despite 'Mein Campf' or whatever it was, in which Hitler wrote about his hatred of the Jews.

Wow! Thank you for reporting the news from three weeks ago!

The official statement is that he was forced in, had a very unenthusiastic run, and left as soon as possible.

Ok, here's what most people don't understand. Hitler was elected, because at the time, anti-semitism already existed. After their defeat in WWI, German was facing meny economical problems, which many people blamed on the Jews, because anti-semitism, again, was already present. Hitler seized this hatred, and used it to gain people's trust. It let them know he was on their side.

Hitler never intended to KILL all the jews. Infact, early on, he tried to move them all to Madagascar. Ships went all over, even to America, with loads of jews, however, wherever they went, none of the countries would take them. Then Kristallnact(sp?) came, and the time for jews to get out of Germany ended, and Hitler started his final solution.

Mein Kampf was simply about how Germany must gain power through conquest and war, as well as racial superiority of the Aryan race, and how all threats to this perfect race must be eliminated, i.e., those who are not Aryan.

People, at the time, loved Adolf Hitler. He never forced anyone to do anything. SS soldiers simply came, and plucked jews from their communities, and the anti-semetic Aryan inhabitants had no problem with this. They didnt know the atrocities that would follow, but many wouldnt care anyways. Boys and girls glady were members of the Hitler Youth, and of them, Joseph Ratzinger, AKA Pope Benedict XVI.

It's like everyone drinking pepsi today dosent know it, but 20 years later, we're all gonna find they slaughtered babies to make the drink, and one of us becomes president.

No, he didn't intend to kill all the jews. He intended to kill everyone in the world who wasn't tall, white, and blond haired.

Um, did you mean to quote that? Because if not, you just said everything Asakura said...Which means there was no point in your post.
