Arthur was at the pub with Bedivere and Lancelot. That got smashed and went to a brodelo (I think that is spelling. excuse me if it isn't) and he found this woman. She knew he was pissed and gave him this crappy sword and told it was power. He announce it was mighty and evryone belived him cos he was king.

Personally I find it as a story, nothing more. It was based off the Viking times when the english uprised. it was rumoured a noble helped the uprising and thats where the tale comes from.

its actually based off a romano british soldier names Lucius Artoius Cascus which Artorios is of Romans gens or a roman name for Arthur.
Its also based off of the Celtic name Artos or something or other for BEAR MAN

It IS a story. Same way if you'll remember Merlin is a WIZARD, wizards of course do MAGIC, magic being something we currently don't have on our "existing" list.

Okay, just to wrap it up, Arthur was an illegitamate son of Ulric and one of his enimies wives, so although he is his son, his mother is not wife of Ulric, but a one night stand.

I had forgotten this for the moment.

Calm down, fuzz ball. I'm not saying that there was or there wasn't. I'm simply saying that it's allways a possibility. The whole slew of stuff like dragons, magic, and stuff had to come from somewhere. I mean, if 'wizards' didn't do jack ****, then I doubt that they would have their niche in history.
