Well, i allways have a hard time coming up with stories, even though i made several.

I think the hardest thing abut it is:

A) The Hero's motive
B) Bad Guy's motie
C) How bad guy intent to detroy/take over the world.

My story came from the fact I have nothing better to do and then create storys.
I created it in five minutes, four of which I spended in the chracters.

I put in my story the four things I am (or I like):
A Philosopher who confuses everyone next to him
A Warrior who thinks the world is in ruins
A Healer who see sadness and pain in everything
A Wizard who thinks there is hope for everything

Thats it, myself, I think all the time about everything, mostly how the world is in ruins, there is pain and sadness everywhere, but I still think there is hope, as long as there people like Dalai-Lama.

I won't put the "A man trying to destroy the world because he wants to" Lots of time I saw that. No one would destroy the world without a reason, why do you think Sephirot is so famous? He is one bad guy who actually have a reason to be one, its not that thing about "Lets take over the world to be powerful!!!".

My rpgs are spontaneous and random. -sigh- Before my games became more proffesional, I could just make Jenova's theme start playing and some random guy epicly inject himself with Jenova cells if I didn't like the way the game was going. They were the good old days...

Usually a story just comes to me and as I progress through the game my stories become more detailed and more fleshed out, and writing the whole story down on charas is really tiring so if I put it down then I tend toput things in the wrong order, or accidentely leave important stuffs out. Which is probably why the beginnning of my games suck and the endings are spectacular.

My story is 7 years in the making. The reason I say this, is because when I was about 7 or 8  years old, I would always just go outside with my plastic sword, and play outside for hours, with my one idea, and my one story known as Sacred Stone. I played it till I was about 11 or 12 years old, and then I actually started applying it to paper and such. Obviously it was a lot different than when I played it, because I was more mature and intelligent at 13 years old. Anyway, I started making Sacred Stone on rm2k when I was 13, then learned more about rm2k, played 2k3 games, moved to rm2k3, and then compiled a couple basic plots I had into one. I then changed the name to The Omega Seal, and voila! Now I'm currently turning the story into a game.

My current story came from alot of things.

1) To show the hell of a world we live in.
2) To spread my ideals across the world.
3) Alot of bad video games from the fags at nintendo(sega), square(enix), capcom, and sony.

Normally for me to make a stroy I just mix anything in...that's why most of my RPGs are quite unpredictable...and normally if I think of an idea of something that happens at the first bit I make the RPG longer.

I make stories based on the chararacters, not the other way around. When I designed Outpost, for example, I knew I wanted to have an outdoorsman, a jaded priest, and an honor-bound samurai as the three main characters. Once I had them it was just a matter of figuring out what sort of trouble they would get into.
